The first FitFlop sandal was sold in 2007, after Dr. David Cook and Darren James (biomechanists at London South Bank University LSBU) collaborated with Marcia Kilgore (an entrepreneur and multi-tasking mum) to create the world ’s first muscle-activating flip flop. Built with simple sport y looking upper straps and an ergonomically engineered Microwobbleboard midsole, the concept was a phenomenal – and global – success. So when fans began to send feedback detailing how ‘fantastic’ FitFlop™ sandals made them feel (subsequent research at Salford University uncovered our Microwobbleboard technology had remarkable underfoot-pressure diffusing and shock attenuating properties), Kilgore decided to take this technology and weave it into a full, multi-occasion footwear collection. Now boasting two patent-pending technologies: Microwobbleboard and Biomimetix midsoles, FitFlop’s goal is to create fun, energizing, beautiful shoes that – when you wear them – make you feel like you’ve got the world at your feet.

Love my new Skinny sandals!
I have 4 pairs of Fitflop sandals but this is my first pair of "Skinnies". The quality, comfort and fit is on a par with my others and what I've come to expect from Fitflop. I really like the narrower footbed as it seems a bit less clumsy looking than earlier styles. Less orthopedic. In fact I will probably only buy Skinnies from now on. I have a medium width foot and do not find it too small as others mentioned. My foot covers the footbed without hanging off. It fits just right. I ordered the same size I always wear in Fitflops. I will say that the straps feel slightly less comfortable than others I own. Not sure if it is due to the buckle, difference in lining fabric or just the narrower strap width. But all in all I love my new sandles. The pewter color is beautiful and goes with everything!

Classy
Fitflops are the best. Period. I'm a fangirl from the very beginning, an early adopter. But this style is so lovely, so much more dressed up and grown up than some other styles.I wear 8s or 8.5s in "regular" M width shoes but I have a wide foot. For years now, I've worn a 7 in FitFlops, and they fit perfectly. I purchased these in 7, even after reading some reviews about the fit, and as I expected they were a bit snug in width. I adjusted the buckle (yay!) and after a few wearings, they're great.

Found my brand!
Living in Florida means wearing Flip Flops all year long. I have tried Teva, Crocs and many more. Once I came across Fit Flops I found my brand. I wear a size 11 and had surgeries on both feet. The Fit Flop lets me walk pain free while looking stylish and beautiful. I also like to be able to walk through Florida rain without getting a foot bath ;-)) as the soles are thick and sturdy.Fit Flops never caused a blister on my feet. I wear them right out of the box for an entire day. They are perfect for my feet! Highly recommend!

Helped Heal My Feet
If you have Planter Faciitis, these are great! I tried numerous inserts, extensive excesses and stretches, even acupuncture to help aide my feet in healing. After three months of excruciating pain, almost to the point of not being able to walk, I thought I would give these a try. After faithfully wearing the FitFlop brand sandals and rolling my feet on a frozen water bottle, my feet almost (95%) back to normal. I will never go back to a flat sandal again! These hug my feet and match my arch perfectly and can wear with shorts, skirts and jeans.

Beautiful but wide, despite the name.
These shoes are beautiful but very wide.Despite the buckle these aren't really adjustable. When I adjusted the buckle to make it narrower it pulled the thong part to the right (or left) so that part really rubbed my foot raw.

... goes between the toe was too hard and not easily break in
This particular shoe I did end up sending back because of the piece that goes between the toe was too hard and not easily break in. I purchased another set made of soft leather and they were great. This shoe does offer really good support to your foot. Great on the knees and overall a good shoe minus the hard toe section. You have to break your body into these shoes over several weeks because they do work muscles you didn't' know you had. :-) I have recommend them to friends as well because they are good.

Great Value
I am quite satisfied with these sandals as they seem to give my arthritic feet the comfort that I hoped for....my problem is I am a half size and going up is too big and going down is a bit short but I find that shorter is better. The price for these sandals was excellent compared to department stores.

runs a bit narrower and I like that it can be further adjusted with the buckle
I've purchased many different styles of fit flops. These run smaller than other styles, which I appreciated. Also, runs a bit narrower and I like that it can be further adjusted with the buckle. These are by far my most comfortable and stylish pair of fit flops. Waiting for them to go on sale again so I can buy more colors!
