Q: I work from home and when there is a chill in the air I like to wear socks- so how will that effect my using the mat at my desk? Thanks

Thanks for your question! You can effectively experience the benefits of grounding when wearing socks. From the research and our understanding, it is not quite as strong of a connection when compared to if you were using it with your bare feet. However, our feet sweat a little bit (even if you don't notice it) and so any level of moisture in between the mat and your foot is going to increase the conductivity. You should be all good :)

Hi there, thanks for your question! We always like to err on the side of caution and disconnect the grounding mat from the electrical outlet, just to be safe. The odds of your home being hit by lightning are obviously extremely small, but in the event that would happen, it would be most safe to have your grounding mat unplugged from your home's electrical grounding system. Q: How is it grounded if there is no continuty read thru the little wire with an ohm meter ?

I've notice no one talking about this, but you need to take your socket plate off to check to see if the actual copper wire is wrapped around your ground bolt on the socket. You can safely do this by taking just the cover off. If you are not savvy in electricity just go ahead and turn the breaker off to the socket you are using to check. I noticed different readings plugged to a 15amp socket versus a 20 amp. My 20 amps read lower voltages. Not sure why my 15 amp reads higher. All of them are grounded.

Everyone is a comedian. (Eye roll) Vegan leather is made from a variety of things: polyurethane, recycled plastic bottles, or various plants. It is a cruelty free leather substitute.
