Tamiya Models Vought F4U-1A Corsair Model Kit

I have built a couple of these kits. How can you resist a Corsair??? Great detail and easy assembly. Take care if building with the wings folded, the struts are not that strong.

Let's face it, Tamiya is like an industry standard for a reason. The panel lines are crisp and not over-done. The fit is awesome and you can build it right out of the box and get outstanding results, if you put some time into it. If you add detail sets, you can get a museum quality build out of it. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to build model aircraft. The dimensions are accurate and if you follow the directions, it's not a tough build at all! Any of the gaps I filled were thanks to mistakes that I made during assembly. This review goes for the F4U-1/2 and the F4U-1D kits too!

Very nice model. Lots of fun putting it together and getting back into model building. I decided to make a diorama and got some 1/48 army men and a 1/48 jeep. The pilots are like a third taller than the men.

Excellent seller. Not only did the model arrive in pristine condition, but it was packed so well that even the box arrived in perfect condition. So often, when you order a plastic model kit, senders don't take the extra effort to ensure you get an undamaged box. Order with confidence from MMD Holdings. The model itself is amazing in it's detail and fit. As with so may reviewers, the canopy was a bit of a fit problem, but nothing you can't handle with a bit of patience and care. A model of an iconic warbird that's worth the time it takes to assemble. When you're done you'll have something you'll be proud to display!

This is a wonderful kit. Highly detailed cockpit and landing gear. Fit is fantastic. As all tamiya are.

If it is just for display, great (5 stars), otherwise not so much (1 star). Review, in my opinion, is determinate upon its intended us.

This is a great kit. Nearly everything about it is wonderful. The interior detail is fantastic with lots of raised detail and ribbing. The exterior detail is excellent, with finely recessed panel lines and rivet detail. The kit also gives you the option of having folded wings, with appropriate detail where it should be. The landing gear struts and bays are very well detailed and are sturdy. The overall fit was okay, there was a bit of a separation along the fuselage but it was pretty minor and easy to clean up. The decals were (surprisingly) pretty good, they were easy to position and conformed quite well despite their usual outcome. So all in all, this is a great model kit.

Easy build nice detail usual Tamiya quality. Been building models on and off for over 40 years and I always come back to Tamiya. Great build right out of the box. Add some paint and you've got a nice model.

Maravillosa maqueta, alta calidad de detalle y de grabados, las piezas encajan a la perfección, se puede montar con alas extendidas o plegadas, la verdad me ha sorprendido favorablemente. Contentísimo con la compra y el precio estupendo. Aconsejo esta maqueta y disfrutar momtándola, lo dicho, la calidad Tamiya se nota.

でっかいプロペラを回すのと脚を短くするために逆ガル翼になったらしい。そして、その強烈トルクを解消するために垂直尾翼に細工が成されている。やや右に切れており、また触ってみると厚さが違うのが分かる。こんなところも再現している辺り、地味にスゴい。さすが。

Utmärkt passform, fina detaljer och tydliga anvisningar, men något tjocka dekaler. Tamiya-kvalitet av förväntat slag, således.
