Over the last three months I've purchased three of these decanters for gifts. Each recipient was very happy with how it functions and looks.I was present when my friend used hers and confirm it holds 750 ml of wine in the base (i.e. no wine in the neck). We let it sit for about 1/2 hour and then poured. The wine tasted really good although we didn't do a before and after decanted test. It was very easy to clean but she opted to add on the wire rack (found on amazon) for drying since her method of placing it upside in a mug didn't allow air circulation, so the rim didn't fully dry. The rack worked really well and her only comment about that was the cap needed to rest with the filter pointing up so it dried completely.If you opted to buy the rack and store the decanter on the counter, the space required is minimal but storing it elsewhere is obviously a matter of personal preference.As mentioned, I've already purchased three and wouldn't hesitate to gift this again. It comes in a nice box [great for storage] that's easily wrapped. You can feel good about giving a gift that is beautiful and functional. It's priced well and at times you can find it on sale, which is an added bonus! It will be my future go-to gift for wine lovers.

My husband is a wine enthusiast, and he was eager to have a wine decanter, not just for aerating the wine, but for its elegant look. First, the packaging is sufficiently well-packed to ensure it arrives in good condition. Second, the thickness of the glass. I was worried that my husband, not being very delicate, would quickly break the decanter. The glass is quite thick, and in my opinion, it's "man-proof"! Really cool Decanter ... love that it airs wine being poured in & out ... took one star away cause it's a pain to clean - odd shape & doesn't feel sturdy - like - you almost have to handle it with gloves in cleaning it ... looks great sitting on a table - just a pain in keep it clean ...

We really liked this decanter/aerator. Died what it’s supposed to do and looks great. Only problem is the aerator top broke because it was dropped. Is there a way to just get the aerator top replaced??

As expected the wine tastes better in this. It is tasty if consumed within the hour. Good product.
