I used his other books for French and Italian and found them extremely helpful. Easy to carry around and full of usefulPhrases. I always like to learn culturalEtiquette when I travel and this book addresses them as well. We had no trouble ordering food and restaurants and cafes. Simple and effective.

This is well organized and what I need for travel to Spanish speaking countries. It is European Spanish, but most phrases and words will work fine in Latin America and South America.

Well assembled guide, typical of Rick Steves. Although written for travel to Spain it was usefup in Central America and Mexico.

Very useful book for anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish and small enough to fit in a pocket.

I used both the Spanish and Portuguese phrase books to learn a bit of the languages before traveling to both countries. The languages were well presented, easy to follow and easy to grasp. There are many common phrases and some just plain funny ones!

Key to learning Spanish is start functional. Learn this book from top to bottom and you will be able to navigate your way through almost any Spanish-speaking country.

Having been to Spain without the benefit of this book made me see how much I have lost and missed.

Given the nature of the book, Spanish phrases, I will get more into it as the date for Spain travel comes closer.
