Serves its purpose
Serves its purpose well as a meter stick, but also on reverse side has english units.The manufacturing actually seems to be pretty good as well, it is made in China, but the wood is nice and smooth (no splinters). I looked at some basic meter sticks at some big box stores, and seemed like they would easily give me splinters as the finish / sanding was done poorly.

Perfect for the price!
My son has been in Science Olympiad for the past 6 years. One of his main events requires a meter stick. We thought it was time we had our own instead of borrowing from the school.

Received broken in half.
When i took my meter stick out, it was broken in half and unusable. I will be expecting a new one without me having to waste time send a broken one back.
