Perfect!!
This is a GREAT tie-out! I have no worries with my dog on it. He has chewed through others and also snapped/tore some in half.We had the dog on one of is old tie-outs one day. We were sitting on the patio and all of the sudden there goes the dog dragging half of the chain behind him as he runs down the road. He was slick too because he ran across in front of the house instead of across the back where we were sitting. His tie-out was installed on the side of the house. It was one of those moments where you're frustrated, but you kinda have to laugh at the same time... hearing the jingle of the chain dragging along the ground and saying "what the..." and then look up and see the dog running up the road.Once we got him after his escape, I came on Amazon to look for a monster proof tie-out. This one is BUILT TO LAST! I love that it is long enough for him to be able to cover plenty of area. 30 feet may not sound like much, but you figure a 30 ft radius in all directions ... that is a nice size space for him to run around and play and not get bored and not feel restricted. He is not tied outside for hours on end though either, of course. The hook is heavy duty and clips in a way that the dog will not be able to get it open, even by accident. The cable itself is also heavy, so it is not recommended for a smaller dog - it will be too heavy. We have a pit bull and it is perfect for him, even with all of his strength. he coating on the chain is thick and I do not expect it to wear off. We have been using it for several months now, and I do not see any signs of deterioration at all. You cannot see any type of wear and tear. I am using it with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002APLYI and it is the PERFECT combination. If for some strange reason I ever need to buy another tie-out or stake, I will definitely buy these same ones again! The price is extremely reasonable. I have seen lighter/smaller tie-outs and stakes selling for A LOT more money and they were no where near the quality of Super Beast and Giant Tie Out Stake. These are excellent, heavy duty products!

The clasp I donโt like
The table is nice and strong. But the clash powder is not easy to use at all. I would not order this again unless It had a different end

Flawed But Sericeable
Yes, it's a beast but I would much rather have thinner stainless teel version. We have it attached to a 75' foot overhead cable and it has created a heavy sag. One end of the run terminates at a side door, where when taking the dog off, we hang the clasp on a hook. Now when doing that the 30' Beast lead hangs down too low over the driveway as the weight of the lead causes the sag which makes the pulley slide down slope. The clasps are a big weight issue, way too heavy. As to the clasp locking mechanism yeah it's a pain but an easy work around. Just buy a stainless steel spring carabiner and your set. Dog must feel like a rapper with all that weight around he neck. As for dealing with weather at the connectors, I keep a can of WD-40 by the door and give a spritz to the connectors, hardware, pulley, carabiners about every 2 weeks.https://www.amazon.com/Sprookber-Stainless-Steel-Spring-Carabiner/dp/B0796NN5YYUnfortunately, the day after we installed this Beast Leash on the dog run overhead cable, the overhead cable broke. Their "sky cable" is thinner and where the loops are formed ... see picture (red cable end) here:https://www.amazon.com/Boss-Pet-Prestige-Skyline-Aerial/dp/B001F0RQIII am trying to find a cable product equivalent to the 30 foot "Super Beast" leash but can find no way to contact the company or obtain any product information so that I can build my own.The end of the lopp, simply pulls out of the connector.

If you own a wild beast, get this.
We adopted a dog as a puppy. During a checkup, vet took one look at our dog and "wow, he will be a beast!" This comment was said jokingly, but she was right! Our 11 month year old dog is about 95 pounds. But being a big puppy, tends to run and jump. During daytime, he is putout on this line and it restrains him well. We live in a rural setting with deer, something he loves to chase. But we also have neighbors with two labs that he likes to visit with. We don't want him to run over there unsupervised so unlike our older dog, we do tie him up when we let him out.Pros- heavy duty. The cable is very strong and covered in insulation. Will resist tangling up, but can still get wrapped around objects like trees or furniture, so it is flexible.- hookup part is equally heavy duty. Has some heft to it. Don't foresee this part malfunctioning anytime soon.- length is adequate.Cons- the hookup unit is a bit awkward. Instead of pushing in to hook to collar, you have to pull the inner part outward first the hook onto collar. Can be a challenge one handed while holding a dog.- would not have minded if there was option for a longer length.Conclusion. If you have a dog contains 50 percent beast like mine, this leash will hold back the dogs of war.edit: May 23, 2013. So this tie-out broke. The plastic sleeve around the cable was first compromised by rubbing on our abrasive corner of stone porch. This let moisture in and it eventually rusted the internal cable, which then snapped from dog pulling. Dog also liked to sometimes gnaw on it. Reading about tie-outs, these usually wear out after a year or two anyway.
