My husband has really thick hair…they get the job done and cut his hair nicely…with no stragglers. His last pair lasted almost 4 years and he cuts his hair weekly.

Kit comes with everything you need to provide a great haircut down to the cape and cleaning tools. Some of the poorly rated reviews may result from lack of knowledge/research to cut hair. I’m a novice so I researched (Videos and reading directions) before giving my first cut which turned out AWESOME! If hair is grabbing/pulling then the clip attachment needs to be adjusted to a longer length/higher #. Then attach the next lower #’d/shorter clip attachments until the desired length of cut is reached. Reading the directions first is also helpful to understanding the function of the items (including the oil) in this kit. I have dropped this clipper and thought I broke it because the plate detached bit I was able to reattach it without loosing function of the clipper. Great price. Great kit.

The only thing I'd do differently - didn't think about it when I ordered it - is to get a cordless version rather than the one with a cord. You do need to be close to outlet and need to maneuver with the cord. Otherwise - love all of the attachments - works great.

I was expecting the clippers to be cordless. But it was only the trimmer. It also has no guts to it. Just using it on my son's hair 3yr old it had a problem. Using the turbo button barely helped. Works just not as well as hoped. Trimmers are great just wished the clippers were as good.

I got this for my huband and my son, they used it foe the 1st time last night and it worked very well, just as expected and nice and smoothly. Nice little kit. So glad i got it.

The only bad is that if you have thick hair you need to use on the adjustment on the clippers and keep it on number 5. Once you do that they work great. Definitely recommend to buy if you cut your own hair.

I purchased these clippers about 5 months ago and all was Ok, not great,but OK for what I paid,but then when I had to remove the protective metal shield to clean the packed in hair the whole inside fell apart and was impossible to get back together and working, so here I am today back on Amazon ordering yet another clipper, definitely not this same one. I only got half my head done before they broke, so I have to wear a hat until the new clippers arrive
