4-Cell DIY Octopus Shaped Ice Tray Mould by Marutshop

Cute concept, deceptive ad photo. There are no eye or mouth impressions inside the mold even though the ad photo CLEARLY shows a discernable face on the molded ice.The mold itself feels odd, being a rubber/silicone composite. I'm uncertain of its longevity, it doesn't feel as durable as other molds I have.Had I known there was no face I would have looked elsewhere, since I wanted this for a chocolate mold. Really disappointed.

As others have stated, the eyes are not actually part of the mold interior. So what you get out is just a tall, rounded cylinder with some octopus arms writhing around the base. That is, if you can get it out of the mold with the arms intact. It was about a 50% success rate for me. The mold is very firm plastic, which makes it quite durable, but very hard to work with on such details. As well, the mold around the legs would often get pinched in whatever I was using them on making it more likely the leg would break. (I tested with using this for both ice and chocolate). Overall, I can't recommend these.

Firstly this Octopus ice cube tray only measures 5 inches x 5 inches and not 9.1 x 6.9 x 1.6 inches as stated. I am pretty sure if I had known that I would not have wasted my money purchasing this with all the other bad reviews I read.Secondly, the ice cubes are very hard to remove with out breaking the legs off and than you just have a legless odd shaped ice cube and not the cute octopus. I had to turn the tray inside out to remove and I was worried it would tear, but not this time.. hopefully it will hold up. I will keep trying to get a good shaped ice cube because they are cute but so far no luck.

I use these as epoxy resin molds. The octopuses are great cute gifts or desk thingies. They pop out easily and cure perfectly. This is not its intended use. Would love more options

These looked so cute, but they are impossible. You can't fill the water level high enough to cover the tentacles, because it doesn't sit level and water runs off. Then, if you do manage to put it on a level base to freeze, it's impossible to get out of the mold without the tentacles breaking off. Not worth the effort, sadly.

Really cute but the adorable faces are not a part of the mold. Bought this for chocolates so was really disappointed that they came out with smooth heads and no faces.

This is very flimsy silicone. When you put water in it and walk to refrigerator it pours out. So you can't fill up so the tentacles part does not form.All you get when it's ready is the octopus shaped head, so round ice cubes which defeats the purpose. Gave it a 2 star cause it was a cute concept but poor exacution. It did come fast.

my new favorite way to water my fairy garden (sorry about the glare), the tray is dishwasher friendly, came in decent time, and seems to be decently durable. the only thing i'd change is that i'd like to have one that makes 8 of them at a time. can't give any less than 5 just because i want more lol (they're on the list to buy)
