All the Parables of the Bible

This is a volume in the "All" series by Dr. Lockyer. I've used it many times over several years; I purchased this copy to donate to a group's library. Much of the deeper spiritual insights in the Bible are expressed in what I call symbolic or parabolic language. Lockyer's book is one that captures a great deal of this material from the Old and New Testaments. The material is thorough, but is easy to read. I highly recommend this book to those who want insight into the symbolism used throughout the Bible.

I found All the Parables of the Bible very fascinating and very imformative. It helps to disclose thoughts and ideas about scriptures that have been puzzling for a long time to me. There are parables that I never knew were in the Bible before. I recommend this book to anyone that is interested in searching the scriptures for symbols and metaphors of the things you dream, which is why I bought the book, that this book fills in a lot of the gaps that I was unable to have my mind open to; and to put into perspective some of the things that have been revealed to me in my dreams.

This book gave me more insight on the Parables taught in the Bible. Recommend you purchase an aid to help in your learning of the scriptures.

The Rev. Dr. Lockyer is most knowledgable, and well researched on every subject on which he writes. This book is now being used in our adult Bible study class to study the parables of the Bible. Most folks don't realize that there are over 250 parables in the whole Bible. Lockyer gives a clear understanding of each one and its use in its time. This is a wonderful book.I received the book quickly from Amazon.

It not only explains the parables of Jesus, but also many of his short passages and metaphors. It's a somewhat easy read, but I wouldn't recommend it for new believers. I recommend you read though the New testament at least once before taking on this book.

As an active minister,I am always looking for new ideas to fulfill my calling. This book, along with "All the Men and All the Women of the Bible" accomplishes just that. Valuable helps in reminding me of the many teachings of Christ. Definate plus to my ministry. Delivery, again, as usual with Amazon was in a very timely manner.

Excellent study tool to use along with the Bible. Quick reference. Nicely organized.
