I was hesitant buying this light, but only about the price. Wanted to install/replace existing "average output" night light at back side of maintenance bldg. I searched and looked at many lights, reviews, and prices. Purchased this light and installed and I am very happy making this decision!. This light really lights up the whole back side of my bldg & surrounding area, including dumpster area. I could actually mow the grass at night if I wanted too!. Like the light color as well that it puts out. Old light was more of a yellow look, this light is more like bright "daylight" and natural look. Save yourself some time, if you need a good strong output light, step up and buy this one!. ... Just a final note - I should charge Globe Electric a fee for bragging on their light, but know they won't give me a dime!..ha

Ordered this light on a Wednesday and received it on Friday! Very pleased with the fast shipping (this was with the Standard Shipping - I did NOT choose the 2 day shipping).The item was complete and undamaged. The only issue I had with it was the length of the wires. I was going to use the extension arm but the wires were too short. It is possible to remove and replace the wires but I did not want to take the extra time to do this. Fortunately I was able to mount it without the extension arm.According to the manufacturer’s product description it comes with a “frosted white glass cover.” The cover is plastic, not glass. I have had other fixtures like this and the plastic yellows over time, we will see how this one holds up.The area that this lights up is fantastic! It replaced a mercury vapor fixture and I believe that it lights up a larger area. Brand new, out of the box this fixture is silent, as they get older they sometimes hum – if this happens to your light, just teach it the words.This would have gotten 5 stars if the wires would have been the proper length.

Easy to install and provides great light when it works. I installed it about 6 weeks ago and it worked fine, but now it cycles off and on all night long.I contacted globe and they helped me troubleshoot the light but we couldn’t fix it. They immediately sent me a replacement light which works fine. Great customer service. I would definitely buy fRom them again.

Dusk to dawn sensor failed after 2 nights of use. Lights the desired area effectively. Prefer white light, but knew what I was getting.

I installed light at height of 20 feet between house and barn. The light illuminates a large area, is silent and has functioned as expected for 3 months. I am very pleased with this light.

Installed this light in December, 2015. February, the electric eye went out in February, 2016, and I replaced it. Now, March 22, 2016, it is out again, for some reason.I will check to see what the cause of the second outage in 3 months is tomorrow, but not happy with the light as far as dependability. Very disappointed in this light and the customer service of Globe Electric. The light is very cheaply constructed and the plate to cover the wires on the fixture was missing. I was able to mount it and the light worked for about a week, then it would only flicker about 2 hours after dusk and might come on full power a few hours later. I contacted customer service and they agreed to send a replacement photocell which I am still waiting for. 16 days in shipping time so far. I have another similar light that I paid less for at HD 5 years ago that has worked flawlessly. I will update once I know if the photocell fixes the issue.Further update to my original comment. Globe customer service said they were sending out the replacement photocell 3 weeks ago but in fact nothing has been shipped. I have called and spoke to the customer service agent several times and get the story that they are waiting for an update each time. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend purchasing this product. So much time wasted following up.

Not my first Globe light. After 10 years the first still performs as new. So far this one appears to be of the same fine quality. Very easy to install. I mounted the light at 20 feet and provides a bright light in the front and back yard at my cabin.
