Cheap and easy replacement!
This little part was an exact match to the factory switch that effectively exploded inside my ceiling fan. Making the electrical connections in the rotary switch was easy, since it was an exact match, and the whole swap out only took a few minutes. If your fan will not turn on or change speeds, simply remove the bottom cover and see if this device is intact. If not, this is a much cheaper solution than replacing the entire fan - it just takes a little aptitude.
