Horse drugs in a lick! Makes farrier work a breeze (or less of an ordeal)
This is a tub of hardened molasses (or some such). You can hold it out for your horse/mule to distract them. They will lick it (if you're lucky) or try to bite it apart (annoying). We use these for horses/mules who can be difficult for the farrier. Licking (or attempting to bite it apart) this product nicely distracts the horse/mule and makes it easier for the farrier to work. It really is a great invention!Note: the lick comes in 3 flavors. Once I tried to order one of each flavor but ended up getting 3 garlic flavor. Surprisingly, the horses/mules still loved the garlic flavor! It seems that there is so much sugar in these that the flavor is irrelevant.

Horse and ferrier approve!
Update- used during shoeing and he was a dream - usually very difficult with back legs, but this distracted him wonderfully- only issue was he turned and licked the back of the ferrier and got molasses on his shirt. Barn owner ordering it for her horses when distractions needed after seeing how well it worked and how easy it was.Horse loves it! Plan to try it with my ferrier next time.

My horses used to have a hard time standing for the farrier but now I let them lick on this and it's a breeze! The horses love it!

Good for training, lasts a long time
Using this to get a nervous horse comfortable with ear touching, etc. It works well, he likes it and will put up with a bunch to get some of it. Just doing short sessions and he's hardly consumed any of it. It works best at first, seems like he gets kind of oversugared after a while, so that's why the short sessions. I leave him wishing for more and he is keeping a good attitude about the sessions. Although from what I've seen, some horses will chomp an entire one down if given the chance.

Product arrived damaged :(
Product was damage despite shipping envelope being in perfect condition. Obviously an issue with the product and not shipping. This is a shame, because this product works very well!!!
