The best Zecchino in the past 10 years! I've listened to these songs dozens and dozens of times this year, and there is none that I really don't like. In fact, there is only 1 that I find 'okay, but no favourite', and I love all the rest! Keep singing them!Choir is in fine form here, and the soloists are certainly up to their task. The songs are nice and varied in their style, with a slight emphasis on fairy tales this year (the wolf who doesn't want to play the bad guy anymore, and Prince Charming who is tired of living up to his reputation and prefers to return frog, and the gnome who felt better than anyone else and went to live all alone on the top of the hill - only to find himself in trouble when winter came. And of course the catchy revised story of Icarus and Daedalus that with both music and text has me chuckling every time...If you want to try out Zecchino - one of the oldest running children's songfestivals in the world! - this is certainly a CD to start with!
