Just have several colors and mix your own.
Rit is the way to go. Super easy to use and colors remain if used correctly. Mainly for cotton. Have used Rit for a long time.

Cool tone brown
This works so well! I left it 3 items in 2.75 gallons of HOT water for an hour. Results are amazing. So happy and it was so cheap. It saved my bleached garage cargos. Top was originally white, cargo Pants were beige, and sweatpants were grey!

Cherry red is not colorfast even with the color fixative
I dyed several items in my front loader with one bottle per garment, and the garments (and one Vera bag) came out gorgeous. It’s an intense and happy shade. The white cotton and linen soaked up the color quite intensely. A cotton shirt with a no wrinkle finish came out pale but still pretty. The Vera bag was shades of beige and a bit humdrum and came out aqua with greenish beige flowers, looking much better. With all the dye loads, I simply put a half cup of salt in hot water and one bottle of dye, put dye fixative in the tray, and started the load to add the hot water. I added the garment as soon as the dye and salt were mixed and ran the load without extra rinses. It was easy. I would just advise NOT putting dye in the tray because it spilled over and made a mess when I did that. Just don’t pour the dye onto a garment. Also, make sure that your garment is clean and really wet when you put it into the front loader washer. I do miss having a top loader for dying things, because you can dye more at once and get even saturation of color, but it can still be done with a front load washer with success. Post script. I used cherry red and loved it. I used the color fixative. I wore my 100% linen shirt dyed cherry red and my skin and bra got dyed. I rewashed it and put it in more color fixative. Still not color fast and is now a pale color. Not happy with cherry red. The other colors are more colorfast, I think. I noticed that someone tried to dye her rykas after putting scotchbright on them. The scotchbright is a repellant, so it stopped the dye from penetrating. Just keep in mind that any chemical treatments done to fabric will effect color absorption. It’s possible that my linen shirt isn’t holding the red dye because it was somehow treated with a finish that is not on the fabric label. I bought more than one of this shirt because it was on sale and am dyeing it now. It seems like it is uneven in coloration, so possibly it’s the shirt.

There’s life with rit-dye.
Had some pants that I like. They were getting fading and new pair had bleach stains. Usually toss them in the trash or give to goodwill. I been interested in dyeing for awhile. Since pants had no rips or holes. What the heck let’s see. And sure enough dye works excellent on the two pair with fading. The pair with bleach spots that were brand new. The dye didn’t work. I mean pants got darker but bleach stains were still visible. Another factor when dyeing any fabric or clothing. Is using the rig dye stay liquid. Don’t forget to order it. I found out after the fact when watching videos on how to properly use dye. Rit Dye stay helps get maximum staying power of colored dye. The pants with bleach stain need to be dyed clear of color. Then redyed with color of same. Or color of my choice. Have some shirts that are gonna be brought back to life. Excellent product just follow directions. My wash machine has no time cycle on wash setting. So I ran wash cycle. And added hot water when I turned machine off to help get dye adhere before rinse cycle. Waited 1 hour before I started cycle to remove excess dye.

Hot yellow!
It looks orange yellow at first but dries hot yellow. Good product and worth the money. I used it on a chair and mixed in some white that glows in the blacklight so it became super bright and neon! I love it!

Definitely NOT Taupe...
I've used RIT dye many times before, consistently successful..This time.. as much as I'd like to say equally successful, I can't...The dye works fine... the issue is that the color is so far from the color I selected as depicted on the bottle..This taupe as you will see in my photos, came out a very pretty 'brown'... not even close to a soft taupe..It's pretty, but not as depicted...I'm leaving a second review for the sage green color I purchased with the same issue...
