Great to read and use as a finger play
One of my toddler granddaughter’s favorite books. I have made the first part into a finger play that I do with her, and she loves to do it.

Nonsensical and fun!
It’s so nonsensical but my kids (2.5 and 1.5) LOVE this book. We read it several times a day, and they quote it daily, as do my husband and I, lol.

New born loves listening to me read and when he grabs at this book, it doesn't rip. Its small and easy to travel with. Hard to destroy. I love the rhymes.

Additional Resource for Teaching Rhythm
Cute book for teaching the concept of rhythm to a two year old! My five year old was also just as invested in the book!

Great gift
This is a classic. My son loved it many years ago. I haven’t read it since then but the rhythm and rhyme still remain in my head. I often give it to new moms, usually in the board book version.Update: Whoa, I just read some other reviews of the book. I didn’t realize the board book version left out some of the original (and captivating) text. Guess I will only be giving the hardcover version as a gift from now on. That’s the one my son loved so much.
