cheap as chips for a puncture free commute.
Usual top service from Amazon - bought Monday night after getting home having had the 4th puncture in 4 months down the glass strewn cycle paths of York. I've had the expensive Tanus solid tyres before and they were good - but they're like £50 a tyre so this set gives a £78 saving over those! Yeah, you get what you pay for - there's a bit more rolling resistence on these but saying that the ride is also a bit less harsh. Fitting these it a million times easier than the Tannus ones but obviously a lot harder than normal tyres. To fit just put them on the rims covering as much as possible by hand - you should be able to get more than half the wheel covered and set in. Then get some cable ties, cable tie the tyre to the rim at the edges of where you fit up to by hand. You'll need something seriously solid to get them on with - you can buy special nylon based really thick tyre levers to do this but I ended up using a wooden handle - something like small broom level - just put it under the tyre and lever it on as hard as you can - it takes a LOT of force but they'll pop on no problem. If you do it in stages, adding extra cable ties as you go you'll be fine. don't think they're too small - they need to be this tight to stay on the wheel.I've done my first ride in them this morning and yeah - it's a a fair bit more effort peddling than before but I knew this in advance. The advantage of getting from A to B without worrynig about flats and having to carry all the gear is well worth it - especially given they're so cheap. They're no good for long distance - recreational riding for fun etc - these are for getting from A to B with 100% certainty you're not going to get stuck in the cold changing tyres / tubes. If that's your priority you should be fine with these. Also the colours are quite a bright and nice change from the normal black tyres :) See photo

Nice solid tyres
Very nice tyres, took me about 20 minutes to replace my 700c X 40(17" rims) using 8 cable ties and a 8 inch crow bar, these tyres are better fitted to a road bike rather than a mountain/hybrid bike as I wouldn't use them on grass or mud, just done a 5 mile ride and they are great on the road wet or dry and absorbs pot holes and kerbs well, the only downside is the speed there seems to be alot of drag especially downhill and the don't seem to be as fast as normal tyres, cornering is ok once you get used to them

Good Product, but Difficult to fit.
I bought these tyres after being fed up with punctures. The product looks nice on the wheel and doesn't add much weight to the bike, the only issue is it didn't come with any tools to fit, and didn't come with any instructions. I had to search on youtube for ideas on how to fit the wheel. You will need to use cable ties and something strong to fit the tyre on the wheel. I used a chisel to stretch it over the wheel.I've been riding my bike for one week and so far not had any issues.I gave 3 star rating because of the difficult to fit the tyre.

Sluggish
Bought a pair of these and regretted it. They arrived in time and all but they are horrible to ride on. Ok it's great knowing that you will never have to buy tubes or get a puncture again but there is a good reason why bikes use inner tubes. It is so much faster! With just one of these, on my back wheel, it felt like I was driving a tank not a road bike. They are also incredibly difficult to get onto the rim. It took two of all us all our might and an awful lot of cable ties to get the thing on.Would highly recommend against these I'm afraid.

Slow But Sturdy
Indestructible, but SLOW! As well as being incredibly difficult to fit (a 2 man job with lots of cable ties and something solid to lever the tyre on), the tyres add a lot of rolling resistance to your ride. They are quite grippy, so if you want something safe, slow and reliable, then go for it! But be warned, you WILL get sweaty!

Value for money
Bought these as fed up of punctures so thought I’d give them a go, yes they are a bit slower than normal tyres but I’m prepared for the trade off of happy cycling, so far no issues, took about 20 mins to fit both tyres so no big problems just a bit of force needed a few cable ties and that’s it. Really happy

Instead of speeding up downhill I slowed down!
Some of the reviews said you loose a bit of speed. They did not say it was like riding through gravy. It literally turned my nimble fast agile road bike into a Boris bike or worse. It doubled my commute time and I was knackered within a mile. Do not waste your money. Nothing against the seller, delivery was prompt.
