good hair color
This is my favorite product, and favorite hair color. It is easy to apply, and stays vibrant for almost 8 weeks. Glad to find it through Amazon, because i could not find it on shelves of CVS and Safeway.

My new favorite at home dye!
I am very hesitant to use home hair dyes because of their harsh chemicals and risk for hair fall out. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the color, duration, and ease of use. It does not have that typical after die odor that lingers all day. Given that my hair is turning gray faster rate, I’m very pleased to find this product that will help from home. My only ask would be to see if this can come in a multi use vile or bottle as there are so much excess product to discard.

Color lasts and covers grey
Couldn’t find the usual natural brand I gave been using for years so I tried this. Works well to cover grey and color lasts.

No toxic chemical smell
My husband uses this to blend in the grey hair. It fades nicely with no brassy tones and the smell is much better than the heavy toxic chemical smell of other brands.

It doesn’t make me itch, and it covers all my gray
I have been using this product for several years. I really like it because it doesn’t make my head itch like dyes from the drug stores or salon. The other plus is that if you get a little bit on your forehead, it comes off with soap and water fairly quickly. I have completely gray hair, and this covers it very well.

Excellent product
Here is an update from Nov. 2015 - Unfortunately, it applies to the seller of this product, not to the product itself. I bought it at the beginning of October, and now 5 weeks later it still has not arrived from the UK to LA, CA. No tracking info, nothing to do about it, but to ask for a refund and never buy again. I purchased this product for the first time only recently, after doing some online research. I was looking for a healthy alternative to a brand that I used for almost a decade. I have about 20% gray hair, more so on my temples, and my natural hair color is dark brown. The Medium Brown 4N by Tints of Nature seemed to be the best match, so I gave it a try. I had nothing to lose but gray hair. When I got the package, I read everything on the box and in the instructions, just to make sure I'm not missing any warning, as we all know, these things always come with all sorts of warnings. Though, I did not do the allergy test 48 hrs ahead as I never had any allergy issues before, even with brands that are known to be less safe. And I did not regret it, because I had no issues at all. It's been now 5 days since I used it and I am completely fine. As for the product, I instantly liked it. The color smells very nice, it does not have the typical chemical/toxic smell to it, and I did not even have to turn on the fan in my bathroom. The preparation time is just as with any other brand, as there are two bottles that need to be mixed well, and you are good to start with your journey. The mixed color paste is just thick enough that it does not drip from your hair, and still, you can run your comb through your hair if you need to. I also like that it is made of the certified organic ingredients, and that it has the least amount of the toxic ingredients, which they have to use in order for it to fully cover your gray hair. Be aware that this is not a 100% non-toxic/organic product, however, it is the least toxic permanent hair color that I could find on the market. In addition, it is made in the UK, and to my knowledge, they need to comply with the much stricter EU safety standards, unlike US manufacturers. That fact alone gives me a piece of mind, as FDA has not changed their laws about the beauty products and their safety since the 70s. And the most important thing, the hair color came out beautifully. It has a warm tone of the dark brown shade, and it fully covered all my grays. My hair looks shiny and natural. The gray portion got a very slight tint of a dark brown with golden undertones, but they are still very well covered. No one would be able to tell that those were gray hairs at some point. The previous brand that I used to use would give me a very dark brown with black undertone, and it was a bit too dark. I love this product, it is the safest I could find, its packaging is made out of recycled materials, and they use organic ingredients, among other things. The only thing I don't like is its price. It is about double of what other similar products cost and I have not seen it in any store in CA. Which means, there is shipping time to include in your wait, so I am about to order myself another box. I highly recommend this brand, and this is after using hair colors on and off for about past 20 years. I started experimenting in my teens, and by now I consider myself an amateur-pro, if there is such a thing.

Not Good for me
I wanted different option from the regular brand. This one gave me an uncomfortable itch. It could be an individual experience. The color was good and lustrous but I had to switch back.

I've used Tints of Nature hair dye for well over 5 years now. I started using it because I wanted a vegan hair dye that wasn't tested on animals. I use the dark brown colour on my roots every month (my hair grows fast) and it's as good as any hair dye on the market (I've been colouring my hair for well over 25 years so I've tried many, many different brands). It covers greys exceptionally well and it leaves my hair very soft and shiny afterwards. The best part is, it washes out really well and I'm never stuck with any residue of dye on my face/neck. I use it because it works and because I love the fact that no animal has had to suffer for my hair.

Out of everything I’ve used so far, this is hands down the best. It doesn’t have that harsh chemical smell that usually bothers you! I’ve got some light grays at the front of my hair, and this covered them incredibly well — way better than those so-called “premium” and expensive brands — and it actually lasted. The best part? After a few washes, there are none of those annoying brassy tones left in your hair. Your hair stays shiny, natural, and super soft. From now on, this is my one and only brand.

Prior to using this product, I used Loreal, which literally put my body and hair under severe distress for over half a week. It was devastating. Loreal made my hair break just by touching it. And my body seriously ached. After three months of serious hair repair treatments, my hair was back to normal, so I tried Hints Of Nature hair color. It is fabulous. I had no negative reactions whatsoever, and my hair looks its best ever. It looks even better than my expensive salon hair colors. I love it. I don't apply it myself, although I could. Instead, I get my hairdresser in Chinatown to apply it. She does the ultimate job out of any hair salon I've ever tried. She doesn't wet the hair first, but the results are just beautiful. I would recommend this product to anyone. It's much better than the expensive salons. But here is a trick: go to Loreal's virtual hair color try on feature on your mobile phone. Find the color that suits your face best. Then get the Hints of Nature equivalent of that color. You'll look like a supermodel! I guarantee it!

I’ve tried a few of the natural hair dyes & none of them worked; especially a brand that is sold in Holland & Barrett & they didn’t work & didn’t cover my greys & have a nasty orange tint to my darkish brown hair. This brand is different & does things differently. The dyes come up a bit darker but look very natural. I highly recommend this brand as it covers greys 100%, gives a natural look, makes hair shiny & beautiful. Very easy to use & even has a pre-shampoo in it to prep the hair. As for colour, I have darkish brown hair & the natural dark bride was too dark so I decided to try this one & it’s much better. I’d recommend this if your hair isn’t very dark brown. I just wish the dye would last a bit longer but that’s hair dye for you!

Recently I decided I wanted to dye the bottoms of my hair blonde, instead of going to a hairdresser I decided to buy a cheap ombré dye set. As my hair is dark brown the colour went red, and in some places auburn. It did look nice however my hair became very dry and brittle. I also have grey hair - not much but it's noticeable. I didn't want to use a regular dye to bring my hair back to my natural colour brown as i found the dye would wash out after 5 washes ! After much research I found this dye and decided to try it. I was Lucky enough to have my sister in law apply it for me- I highly recommend someone do this for you to ensure your hair is evenly covered. She followed the step by step guide to the letter. The dye looks like green mud, and doesn't smell at all like the usual chemical dye I've used in the past. My sis in law said the colour was very easy to apply and a little went a long way. My hair is around 3/4 inches below my shoulders and one bottle was more than enough. Also no stains left on my head or the bath tub! The colour washed out ver quick. We left the dye on for 45 mins as I had bleach in my hair and The results were fantastic! My hair is evenly covered, no more red or greys. I wouldn't say my hair feels silky soft, although this is due to my hair needing a deep conditioner treatment, as it was dry to begin with. I have given 4 stars as I've not washed my hair yet so let's see how long the dye lasts. Highly recommend for a natural brown even coverage with less nasties inside :) I've added a before and after picture !
