Trafalgar Shave Cream Bowl 190gm

Truefitt & Hill is a gentleman's grooming company established in 1805. To commemorate Lord Nelson's victory in battle Truefitt & Hill named one of their top fragrances for this occasion. This being Trafalgar. I mainly use the replacement soap that Truefitt & Hill sell for my wooden soap bowl I bought from them; however, when traveling this makes it rather awkward. Truefitt & Hill knows men are on the go, but still enjoy a great shave, so have created these wonderful soap jars to take with you on travel. As with the brick soap, these soap jars last a very long time; as you only need a small amount for a good thick lather, with a distinguishing scent that is rather haunting, and not overly strong. One jar of Truefitt & Hill shave soap, much like the brick soap by Truefitt & Hill lasts about as long as approx 8 or so aerosol cans of shave cream. I can judge this as my roommate uses aerosol shaving cream. Plus aerosol cans use a numbing agent which harm the skin later throughout the day unlike brick or jar soap by Truefitt & Hill. So its actually cheaper, smells better, better quality shave, and lasts longer. I prefer the Truefitt & Hill Trafalgar scent, however, all the scents by Truefitt & Hill are very good. It is just a matter of taste and preference of what one enjoyes. Trafalgar is a subtle, haunting rich scent of sandlewood, lavender,jasmine and other spices; blended nicely to be very appealing, but not over powering. Basically, just authorative and confident. One can honestly see why Truefitt & Hill named this fragrance after the Battle that Lord Nelson led England into victory. Also note, with the jar creams by Truefitt & Hill a shave brush is not needed although I still use mine when I need to travel and take my jar with me. You can easily use your finger tips, about the size of a US quarter 'or less' to massage on the face usually does the trick. With a true 'real quality' shave soap you don't need much, nor a huge lather either. The shave will make you almost become impatient for the next day as so you can shave again. The day is long and hard on every man, so why not give yourself something to start the day off with right? Something that also has a long history behind it as well. A last piece of information: I always purchase my Truefitt & Hill through [...] from The Grooming Lounge and will remain doing so. As I find The Grooming Lounge to be very fast with deliveries, plus packaging is beyond words by them. My first experience with Trafalgar shaving cream was right after my girlfriend returned from a trip to London. While there, she visited the Truefitt & Hill barber shop and purchased the Trafalgar shaving cream for me as a souvenir. Since then, I've been hooked. This is, by far, the best shaving cream I've ever used. The scent is masculine, but not too over-powering or musky. The lather is thick, rich and moisturizing. Although it is quite pricey, I've found that a little really goes a long way. I only need to shave about 3 or 4 times per week (I'm a slow grower), but a jar of Trafalgar cream usually lasts me around 7 months. Just use it sparingly and you'll be fine. When I first started using Trafalgar I didn't use a brush. However, I found that using a brush allows me to use less shaving cream. So a brush is definitely worth the cost.

I seldom provide reviews, but this product provides exceptional value and functionality I recommend you try it. If you do not have a shaving brush, simply rub it on a wet face.

The Ultimate is hands down my favorite. I have tried almost all the different scents and just returned back to this one and I have to say that I’m here to stay. Nothing wrong with the other options, but this one works best for me. I have overly dry skin with adult acne and this one seems to irritate me the least. Super slick. Good stuff.

Has a very pleasant smell. Can't describe the exact smell or compare it to anything I've used , but the smell is very pleasant. Lathers up well, good enough for three to four rounds of wet shave. Nice refreshing shave with a bevel razor.

The best for shaving we have found. This product is well worth the money. I also highly recommend this shop. They put customer service on a different level. They want you happy! I have found it’s the little things in life that make a difference. Spend the extra few dollars if you have it!! Find joy in the small things. That’s what this product is, happiness in a jar. I love waking up to the smell of my husband shaving. It’s subtle yet clean. Grab the after shave lotion as well, makes the scent linger all day.

Truefitt and Hill is usually my preferred brand of shaving cream. I have tried other scents, and like the “Trafalgar” scent as well. I look forward to trying all of the different scents. I recommend applying the T&H pre-shave oil before applying this shaving cream, for an even smoother shave.

Der Duft nach frischen, zitrusdominierten Noten ist eine Wohltat für die Nase. Der aufgeschlagene Schaum ist gut, wenngleich weniger reichhaltig und pflegend zur Haut als etwa die Proraso der weißen Linie oder die Speick RC. Die Rasur ist dennoch 1a und macht Spaß. Ein edles Produkt, das gut komponiert ist.

Nicely packaged, nice smell, could just be a bit foamier

Never tried Trafalgar before so was buying blind. The scent is very nice, a cross between a musky No 89 with more of a woodsy linger. Foam is good quality and lasts. Good value, though I'll stick with Floris and or Trumper.
