Murder Mystery Flexi PartyA Very Merry Christmas 4-8 Player

This is the 5th Murder Mystery I have hosted. It was hard to find one with a Christmas Theme. Had no idea that the enclosed CD disc included about 40 other murder mystery setting and this was the LAST one on the disc. I had to literally skip the others each time I had to have the narrator play. Very clumsy. Also, how they chose the murderer and the way they gave the murderer two speeches at the end, so ours revealed himself before everyone had a chance to guess who it was

I have played murder mystery games before that told the person what their motives were, etc., but then allowed the players to come up with their own questions and answer that all fit their own scenarios. This game however was fully scripted with exactly what to say (depending on if you were the murderer or not) and exactly what to ask. You had to ask each question provided before you could move on. Then the tips for selecting a murderer made it so obvious who the murderer was that every single person playing knew without any doubt at all. In fact, all playing said that even though it says it is re-playable, why would they ever want to play it again? Don’t waste your time/money on this game!

It was a little difficult to work with, especially for younger teens. It was especially slow when done as a group activity. Aside from a short written script and an audio CF, there were no other props for clues like other similar items have.

Great for parties! Easy to learn and follow. The element of an unknown murderer was really nice so that the hostess could participate as well. I also appreciate that it has some replay value, instead of a one time use.

Great family fun. Quite a simple set up, which worked for us as the age range was 13-78yrs. Loved the fact that the murderer isn't set until the night. In theory you could play this again but in reality it would have to be a good few years apart as your responses change if you are the murderer. We all failed to pick the correct murderer as everyone sounded plausible but we all had fun. It has become a tradition over the past few years to do a murder mystery on New Year's eve and often the older members of the party can fail to communicate important information but that can't happen with this party. I would buy another one from this range.

Were very disappointed with this game and overly expensive for what it was. First time we had played a Murder Mystery game. Found it to be hard to solve and just a little dull.

This murder mystery game was great fun. Everyone dressed up as the character from aged 12 to 73.We played it over the evening - eating in between each act.It was enjoyed by all.

This works well with a family and is kid friendly

Family enjoyed it but either we are smart (no we are not) or it was just over a bit fast. Good quicky though!
