You can feel the love!
Written by a man who clearly spends a lot of time thinking about his dog. Intended for dog owners, not necessarily their children.

It was okay
It was okay. For sure a book for children under 5.

funny
I thought this book was hilarious! But I had to change the intended recipient. I initially bought this as a gift for my young teenage niece but I'm glad I gave it a quick read first- there's a bit of cursing in there which made it probably not the best for a younger audience (at least not as a gift to someone else's kids). But I loved it, really brightened my day

A must read for DOG LOVERS !!!!
Heartwarming, laugh out loud, and a so true book about a man's and woman's BEST FRIEND!I'm buying every book that this author writes. The pictures are so entertaining,Reminds me of my beautiful pet dogs.My Jack, Henry, and Lucy wait for me over "The Rainbow Bridge."I will be with you again someday. I miss and love each of you dearly. And I hope to have so many more wonderful years with the love of my life, "Bella."My great companion Jose. And my "Act tough," but I'm really a mama's boy, Petie. All of my dogs have "more or less" been rescue dogs. And no amount of money could ever take them away from me.Please consider pet adoption. And adopting "rescued dogs."This book is a must read for dog lovers ! !I can't say how much I laughed and was touched by this book.It has to be great,Because I have read many books on Kindle and never took the time to write a review. This was definitely worth my time to write a review.

Perfect Humor for Dog Owners
Small and very short book, but nonetheless hilarious, warm and very true for anybody who has or ever owned a dog. The illustrations are also good and funny, and it's the absolute perfect thing for any adult who loves a good laugh. However, for anybody not familiar with The Oatmeal, this is not appropriate for children or anybody who is easily offended, but no "issues" with this beyond that otherwise.

Funny but Inappropriate for kids/tweens
The book is so sweet and funny. I loved it, however I purchased for a tween and it’s definitely geared for older teens/adults. Lots of references to humping, licking butts, etc. Funny but not appropriate (yet!). I hope this helps someone buying a stocking stuffer/gift for a kiddo!

More Inman Fun
“If My Dogs Were a Pair of Middle-aged Men” is another must-have for Matthew Inman fans. I loved it. However, it is a bit shorter than some of his other works. You just can’t beat “5 Very Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth.”Still, if you have a dog, then Inman knows your life in this book. He personifies it perfectly with two very neurotic, funny, excitable, and maybe lovable characters.I especially liked the scenes of when the doorbell rings insanity ensues, and Jenkins doesn’t know how to come back when playing fetch.

Overpriced
Love the other Oatmeal stuff but this is quite pricey for what is a very very short basic story. Almost a few sentences per page, very few pages. Stick to dolphin punching and murderous cats!

Great gift for a dog lover
I first saw this as a series of cartoons, which I loved because they poignantly said what I feel about my beloved dog. Then I saw it was available in a book and so bought a copy as a gift for a friend. I wasn't disappointed - it's lovely.
