Works great for Rocksmith on PC
Bought this cable to use with my Steam version of RS (Rocksmith 2014) and my bass guitar. The cable works great for this usage! Configuration is key for using it there, because the device shows up as a "microphone", so you need to set up RS properly to use that input... and if you have other inputs on the computer, then you may need to force RS to use the device "microphone" as opposed to some other one... but once you get that figured out, this cable works great. And it's so much cheaper than the official RS cable, which is also relatively difficult to find and apparently has durability issues. I can't say this one is going to be that much more durable (I haven't used it as much as others, I'm sure)... but for the price, it's a great deal!I do with there was a volume adjustment on this somehow, but I think RS reduces the volume during your calibration process, so it may just take more tinkering in there to get the other volumes turned "down" so that this one can be relatively higher in the mix. I haven't played with it enough to figure this out. (RS should adjust the volumes to like 50% on theirs sliders, so you can go higher with certain things easily... the alternative is to turn everything else down, which gets you the same behavior, but takes more steps.) In the end, none of this is a fault of the cable, so it gets 5 stars!

Found a use for the cord after it didn’t work for Rocksmith game.
Got this for a replacement cord for rock smith Xbox game. Didn’t work it needs to be the rock smith cord. However this worked awesome to plug into the computer and record guitar on garage band.

Does not work on iPhone GarageBand
I bought this to record music on GarageBand on my iPhone because I don't have a Mac. I bought a USB to iPhone adapter because it has worked with other external devices for my GarageBand, like a microphone or my MIDI controller. When I plugged in the cable, it muted my entire phone so I could not hear anything. Then when I had recorded my guitar then unplugged the cable, the audio came out delayed. If anyone has a solution please let me know, otherwise, I'm returning the cable.

A Good 3rd Party Alternative for Rocksmith
I use it for Rocksmith and it's worked fine for the most part. Occasionally, there's a buzz that throws off the calibration, but once you get set up and going it generally keeps up fine.

Not sure I'd recommend for certain things but...
I don't know what I'm doing hooking up this kinda stuff, full disclosure. I tried following guides to set this up for Rocksmith but eventually gave up for now. That said, my experience could be different from yours and despite having issues with that program I was able to get it to work at least to hear it though the pc. The product works, seems sturdy, for what it is it seems to be a good product to me. I'm sure someone else could get a lot more mileage out of this than me, but for that one particular game If I had it to do again I'd have just got their special cord for the game and tried to find a fix for the latency.

Not usable for Rocksmith
Although product shown alongside actual Rocksmith-compatible products, this does not work with the game.

better then expected
I was a little worried about the sound quality and durability, but i was impressed. The sound quality is better then the brand name cable. I dont use it as often as i should, but i use it more then my standard guitar cables. To get the least delay, i plugged it in the highest speed usb port on my motherboard, otherwise the delay is pretty bad (not the cables fault entirely, mostly the hardware i run). For anyone buying this cable, make sure you plug it into the fastest port you have on your pc. ALSO, to use with a certain guitar based game, make sure you get the NOCABLE patch. Otherwise YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT.

AMAZING product
With headphones in, and plugged into the 3.0 port on my PC I experience nearly 0 input delay. It is a cheap cable but is so effective! I have 0 issues with it and have had it for a couple of months now!
