J.K. Lasser's Small Business Taxes 2014: Your Complete Guide to a Better Bottom Line Paperback – October 21, 2013

Has some great advise and things to consider owning a small business. However, be careful because a lot of theadvise in this book will probably be thrown out the window with the 2018 new tax code so beware of this manual...

There is a lot of information in here that I had not seen anywhere else. For instance, who can understand the information on IRS.gov relating to the healthcare act? I can't. This book has a great chapter that explains the ACA and most of the other options available such as HSAs, HRAs, etc. I have the regular Lasser books which I buy every few years and look through for changes that relate to my personal taxes. This business book has more information on expensing equipment, depreciation, employee issues, etc. It is a definite cost-effective investment for the new or experienced business owner.

This book has smaller dimensions than the Individual Tax book. On first lookthru was not impressed. Now going through depreciation I see clear concise explanations - more easy to read than the BIG Lasser book. So will stick with it. WISH there was more information like hints on form 1120 - say the balance sheet & more.

On Dec.19, 2013 I ordered this BIG book online;On Jan.03, 2014 this book reached me from USA to CANADA for 2 weeks.I am one new foreign-owner of US Corporation and this book showed me a COMPLETE GUIDE to small biz taxes 2014:-)When I use the software "TurboTax Business Fed + Efile 2013", this book will be a great support to complete my corporate tax preparation. I appreciate the author BARBARA WELTMAN.

Purchase this every year for research. Works well and no surprises so far. It had been a reliable resource for years.

Great book and it gives good insight to topics that I never would have known about. It goes in depth into the tax codes. It is an easy read.

Useless information. They offer NO insight of any new taxes. Just basically read off a 1040. I was looking for loopholes in taxes. This book just showed me how to pay more.
