Powerful, unusual, probing book on how leaders can actually implement significant innovative changes within their organizations
Amazingly clear presentation of what it takes to "Lead," in ways that respect the demands of business and still totally respect the needs of people. Also excellent time to deliver this book to an unfortunately divisive world. The message that rings loudest for me, are the significantly thought-provoking questions posed throughout the book. Dr. Goldman-Schuyler must have led the development of this book in keeping with the advice offered, since the authenticity of her editorial voice - plus the voices of her editorial team - provide a strong underpinning throughout this consistently powerful book.

A wide-ranging and thoughtful book.
This is a rich, wide-ranging and thoughtful book about subjects that should be, but too often are not discussed by leaders and teams in organizations.Mindfulness, spirit, authenticity, trust and openness can be challenging topics to explore with leaders struggling with rational and edgy day-to-day problems. And yet these are exactly the subjects that are necessary to stimulate the personal growth required of leaders to catalyze system and culture change. The authors’ descriptions and application of these sensitive and essential subjects are eminently practical and useful. They make the topics accessible and create a framework for substantive conversations with leaders possible.

Joyful Leadership
Leading with Spirit, Presence, & Authenticity is a wonderful book that focuses on how mindfulness, spirit, authenticity, trust, and openness is absolutely necessary for today’s leaders. Chapter Four, The Dance of Joyful Leadership is what spoke to me the loudest – “naming our shared values is essential to our team’s success”. By having the courage to lead with mindfulness, we can have joy in sharing this leadership dance together. You will find this book such a wonderful resource on becoming the leader that inspires positive change in ourselves and others.

We can all benefit from reminders.
This book is a timely reminder that leadership takes courage to remain in the present moment, to accept the ambiguity and uncertainty that is often part of the present, and to be willing to ask probing questions to start the conversation. I come away with the certainty that I need to read it again and again to appreciate the new way of thinking that the thought-provoking questions found in the chapters have stirred up within.
