Wonderful blend of hard to find spices for Niter Kebbeh
I used this to make niter kebbeh which I used to make kitfo, goman wat, and ayib (just a little). It was my first time cooking Ethiopian food. The spices are uncommon so it's great to have Brundo Spice Company as a resource. My dishes came out delicious. NOTE: this is NOT everything you need for niter kebbeh! According to the recipe on the Brundo's website, additional koseret is required. I realized that too late so didn't use it. I wish the product description made note of that.In addition to this product, I added a pinch of dried oregano and basil to the clarified butter to make up for the missing koseret. I also added a fresh clove of garlic, a little onion, and a slice of ginger root to freshen up the flavors already in the kibbeh manteria. The resulting butter was incredibly fragrant and flavorful.

Baroody's is the best!!
This stuff is so incredibly delicious AND it's healthy! How great is that!?!Wonderful mixed chopped nuts packed tightly into a glass jar, creating a beautiful design from the outside, and delicious organic honey is poured in to fill the spaces between the nuts. Excellent topping for a yogurt and fruit dessert! It's expensive, but as a treat every so often, it's perfect!

Delicious Niter Kibbe
I love cooking Ethiopian food and I usually purchase locally made spice mixes from Ethiopian grocers in my area. But I just moved to a part of the U.S. that has no Ethiopian groceries! The nearest one is 2 hours away.So I took a chance on Brundo's spice mixes and was not disappointed! Every one I purchased (there were 5) smelled and tasted fresh. The first thing I did when I received my order was to make niter kibbe using this particular mix because it's the basis for a lot of Ethiopian recipes. Sooooo yummy. I made an Ethiopian dinner for New Year's Day (siga wat, kik alicha, and gomen) and it was delicious. Now if only I could find injera...sigh.

Great for making Niter Kibbeh
This was so helpful for making my version of niter kibbeh. I went the lazy route and used avocado (blended) with some of this, and it worked great for my misir wot, gomen wot, Brussels sprouts, and radish curry. Since I haven't found an Ethiopian grocery store in my area yet, I'll probably continue to buy this and other spices from the same brand. Now that I have this spice, I look forward to making additional Ethiopian dishes and using this instead of clarified butter or ghee.
