Great books to ready for any age. Good story time book or even an anytime book. My son loves them.

I had heard from other parents that they were worried that this book would be too scary for young children. My kiddos are 5, 6 and 9. They thought it was HILARIOUS! They had me read it twice before bed the first night that we had it. Swamp Thing is a more adult comic that deals a lot with hard hitting environmental issues. This book makes him accessible to kids. I love the down home critter gang. They are absolutely adorable. I also liked that Ace the Bat Hound made an appearance for those kids who love Batman. Solomon Grundy is a Batman villain after all! All in all, this is an adorable and quirky story that my kids loved. Every parent should make their own decisions about what is appropriate for their kids though. But I promise that the book is more cute and funny than gross and creepy.

This is a fun story that kids will certainly enjoy with zombie animals and simply plenty of action and humour. I found it interesting as I've never read a comic containing either Swamp Thing or the villain in this one Solomon Grundy. It prompted me to look up their character histories which I always enjoy doing and especially enjoyed finding out about Grundy as his name appears in my most favourite song in the entire world, "Superman" by Crash Test Dummies.

really fun books for kids... my son loved them

This is truly a great children's story to introduce them to Swamp Thing. i always loved Swamp Thing as a kid. i live in Louisiana and have been in many swamps & i love cajun mythology. i also love monster movies & ghost stories which helped me grow to love Swamp Thing. this book is pretty good @ telling the story about Swamp Things Pets & how they with the help of Ace the Bat-Hound fight Solomon Grundy's Undead Pet Club. i the that DC's Super-Pets book series is good place to help kids to love to read & get introduced to some of the DC Universe.
