Works good as described
Works great As advertised. The deeper the water is the bigger the area is that you are seeing But it’s pretty cool to see fish swimming around and know that there hey are there weather you catch them or not.

Basic.
I like that it functions as it should and is able to detect fish unseen from the surface. Wish it had playback so we could use data for charting and recollection of conditions during and after use, but I guess that would be asking a bit much for such a price point, so ride what you've got and make the best of it. Easy to use. Instructions are in ENGLISH as well, and in a font that doesn't need magnification to set it up. Definitely better than blind sight fishing 💯👁

Very useful while shore carp fishing !
Great small sonar ! i use it when carp fishing from the shore to ascertain depth and shelf location in order to more accurately to place baits. Also marked fish well and for my use( just to mark the area in front of me batteries are sufficient long lasting. On white background it is quite readable. One improvement I would suggest is a rod holder device to place it while prospecting depths/fish locations. All in all content with device. Excellent return on investment.

No good for Ice Fishing
If you throw it underneath the ice it works OK, but the walls of the hole throw off the sonar. I am sure this would work great in open water.

Company made good on 2-year warranty
We've had this item for about a year and a half and it worked fine and as advertised. Then the sensor wouldn't take a charge so we reached out to the company and they promptly sent a new recently updated unit.

Ice fishing
I read that this product can be used ice fishing. The senior has to be put it a drilled hole. Then I also read it doesn't work in a tub,bucket or a swimming pool because of the hard sides. A ice fishing hole has hard sides. I wasn't getting good readings. I'll have to try different settings. But I think I'll get the same results. The description of this unit should say not for ice fishing.
