Good Lightweight Cardigan
This is my first Open Front Cardigan, so maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the styling/fit of these things. Any tips on how these should be worn and how they should fit would be greatly appreciated.I usually wear a large or XL in t-shirts (depending on the style, how they're made, fabric, possibility of shrinkage, etc). After measuring myself, and going by the sizing chart, I ordered an XL. When it arrived I was so excited. I immediately tried it on... and really enjoyed the way it felt. The slinky, stretchy fabric is wonderfully lightweight, soft and flowing; 95% Rayon + 5% Spandex. Then I tried to pull it together, across my front... It was a no go. Either I'm too chesty, or there's just not enough fabric, or both. Unless you're a very thin B cup or less, there's no way this would wrap across the front- especially if you want to wear anything under it! Other than that it seemed to fit ok; the shoulder width, the sleeve length, and the overall length which fell to upper thigh and covered my hips/butt (I'm 5'4").Then it dawned on me that maybe this was just the style of this type of garment, and it's not really meant to be pulled together, at all, in the front. Yeah, duh... hence why it's called "open front". Maybe it's a kind of long, fly-away, shrug with long sleeves. Anyway, just to make sure, I returned the XL (thank you Amazon free returns) and ordered a 3XL. This time the shoulders felt too wide with the seams falling off the tips of my shoulders. Also, the sleeves were too long, and I STILL could not pull it together across my front. I supposed this confirmed my notion about the styling. If I'm wrong, please feel free to correct me. Is this how these things are suppose to fit?I will be returning the 3XL and ordering a 2XL because I think it will be just right (like I'm Goldy Locks or something!), and allow for t-shirts or long sleeved shirts underneath (my loose fitting t-shirt felt bunched up under the XL). The cardigan is well made with finished seams; it looks really nice. The fabric is thin, but not low quality. The pockets won't accommodate anything too heavy without looking really weighted down. However, you really can't beat the price and the awesome range of colors available. If your curvy, I would order one or two sizes up.This sells for $14.99 on the Made By Johnny website, but the standard shipping is $6.95. Orders over $50 ship free, but it's standard ground shipping. I'm not sure about returns.***Review update 9/14/15***I'm changing my rating from 4.5 to a solid 4 Stars, and from "great" to "good".Since I wrote my initial review I have tried other brands and styles of lightweight cardigans. I returned all the sizes I tried of this MBJ Cardigan. I found another brand of lightweight cardigan that felt just as good, if not better (made of 70% bamboo viscose/25% cotton/5%spandex), for only about $3 more. I ordere an XL in the other brand and it fit perfectly! Plenty of fabric to wrap in the front, arm holes roomy enough to wear a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt underneath, and a great overall length. The only drawback is that there are only 3 colors. This MBJ Cardigan, while cute, well made, and available in a wide color selection, definitely runs small as far as the arm holes and doesn't have nearly enough fabric in the front. Maybe it's sized for juniors? If your not too curvy, and you plan on wearing only tank tops or camis underneath, this cardigan will probably work well for you.

Nice cardigan at a reasonable price
I like the way this hangs and I love that it is light enough to wear in the summer. I had read a couple of reviews that said it ran small so I ordered a size up and it does run small. If you are okay with it hanging wide open order one size up, if you want to be able to pull it a little closer (similar to the product pic), I would go even 2 sizes larger. Pockets seem to be sewn well but are made for looks not carrying items. Material is soft and somewhat stretchy. I have worn this with dress slacks, skirts, and even as a sweater with my scrubs. Regardless of what I pair it with, it looks nice.

Inconsistency in quality
I really wanted to love this cardigan. The first one I received was the perfect Jade color, the perfect fit (not too tight in the arms) and the fabric was thick, soft, and fell nicely on my body. But it arrived with a hole in the arm. I loved this cardigan so much I promptly ordered a replacement with the intention of returning the first one this week.I received my replacement today. The first cardigan I received came balled up in a plastic bag with no tags on it, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this one with tags, folded on a cardstock, inside a sealed bag. But when I opened it I found a different, thinner and more scratchy material, noticeable tightness in the arms, and even a slightly different shade of green. Bummer. I still like it well enough to keep the new one with no holes, but this brand is super inconsistent. Even the hems are different sizes! It's not a bad cardigan. It's perfect for knocking the chill off in my office, but know you get what you pay for and the quality may vary.

Great quality but size up!
Cardigan is soft, quality is great for the price! Versatile layering piece, I got the grey and black "tie-dyed" one and I even received a compliment from an 80 y/o male customer at work! My only gripe is that it's about a full size or two too small. I'm 5'4", 175lbs and have a small chest for being a bigger girl. I wear a Large top in any given brand. I went by the size chart plus the reviews and ordered an XL. It doesn't even come near covering my chest but it's actually ok for me in this instance (I am a server with a liberal dress code and just need something to throw on if it's cold and can't be encumbered with a ton of fabric because of the busy pace). If you need coverage in front consider going up maybe 2 sizes. I am happy enough with it that I intend to buy other pieces from this brand.

Pockets OK for something lighter than an Iphone
I love the weight of the material (just slightly heavier than a thin cardigan) and the stretchy material. The pockets are just OK - an Iphone will cause the pocket to significantly droop. Also, it's kinda annoying that the front does not pull closed. The red is very bright and fun and the dark grey is nice too. Given that the pockets are useless, I think you will be better off with the LL WSK850 Womens Draped Open- Front Cardigan. I still kept both of these cardigans, as I normally throw these on to and from the gym or while hanging out at home.

Much smaller than other MBJ products I own
I take a small in the short-sleeve, 3/4 flared-sleeve, and sleeveless tunics, no prob. But from the way this medium cardigan fits, an XL *miiiight* be large enough to have the sides almost touch in front. That being said, I can see that an XL will look really nice on me.The teal is a nice color, but since dark green teal looks even better on me, I overdyed my teal MBJ garments with a 1-1 ratio of green:black iDye for natural fabrics according to the mfr's washing machine instructions. I'm very happy with the results :) I plan to do the same with the larger-size cardigan I'm exchanging this for.

It's a Shrug, Not a Sweater.
Lightweight, inexpensive shrug for hot weather. Many color options are a plus. Some reviewers have complained that it does not close midline, but it is actually not designed to fully close, as is the case with many shrugs. It runs smaller than usual so do size up. I wear a size 12 but ordered 3x because I like a loose fit and wanted it long enough to cover my rear, and it works fine. It's not bulky at all. I have ordered other MBJ items of better quality, but for this price and color options, it's truly not a bad deal at all.
