So far we are very, very happy with this scale! For the last couple of months I had been shopping around for a scale to check our infant son's weight on a monthly basis. I was looking for a good quality item, with reliable calibration at a decent price ($75-$150). It took me a while to make this purchase for two main reasons. First, most of the scale reviews for these types of scales were from people who used them to weigh their animals, not babies, and I personally did not feel they were helpful for my needs. Secondly, some of the negative reviews, especially those noting very inaccurate readings, poor quality, bad customer service, horrible packaging, etc., made me nervous about making a purchase. Well, this scale came very well packaged, in a brand new retail box with directions and best of all, IT WORKS VERY WELL! After setting it up with a 9 volt battery and before weighing our son, I tested it by weighing a 3 lb. bag of apples, a 1 lb. bag of rice and a 5 lb. bag of bananas and all of the weights were correctly calculated. I weighed my son 3 times and the weight calculations were the same each time. The "hold" feature, which calculates an average weight when your baby is moving around, is very useful and the "Zero out" feature, which allows you to put a blanket down and then zero out the weight of the blanket so that you just get your baby's weight is AWESOME! We are very happy with this purchase especially because we were so nervous about it. The quality of this scale is excellent, the size is really nice because it is not huge or heavy--keep the box to store it!--and it does its job when it comes to accurate weights. This is a great scale for someone who wants to track the weight of their baby/toddler or track how much they are getting in a feeding (even down to the half ounce!). It can be used up to 60 lbs. and once you no longer need the weighing tray, you can remove it so that your kiddo can just use it as a regular scale. I wish I would have purchased this sooner! One last thing, another plus is that this scale is sold and shipped directly by Amazon so if you have any issues you just have to deal with Amazon and not a third party seller. This is a great product you will LOVE IT!

This has been one of my favorite and most used baby products, especially for one that as a new mother I didn't even know I needed. I recently gifted this to a family member in preparation for her first little one, and will continue to give them whenever I can. Why do you even need a baby scale? Let me tell you, as a new mother...obviously new to breastfeeding...this bad boy was a lifesaver. I brought my first child home basically clueless to all things "baby," and my husband was even worse. When it came to breastfeeding, all I knew was what I had read in books and the information from the lactaction consultant at the hospital when I delivered. Fast forward a week, and I was a mess. Unsure if I was doing anything right, worried my baby wasn't eating enough, etc. So I scheduled a consult with the aforementioned lactaction consultant and along with some expert advice on all things breastfeeding related she advised me to get a scale. Reasoning: as long as baby is gaining, you must be doing it right! So a quick search on Amazon and I arrived at this; 2 days later I was on the way to much needed anxiety relief. I have used this with all three of my babies. In the first months it's great for making sure breastfeeding is going accordingly. In addition, through all stages, it's a great tool for making sure you are administering medicine correctly according to your infant/toddlers weight. I recommend this to all parents with small children. It has held up incredibly well, and we've had zero balancing issues. It's always on the mark when calibrating. Also, in case you haven't noticed, the basket is removable so older children are able to stand on the scale instead of laying/sitting. Great product that will last you for years! As a footnote in addition to our kids, we've also used this for pets!

I got this to weigh my cats! We have a few elderly lady cats that need their weight monitored. We also have a growing kitten in the home and we like charting her growth. This scale is purrfect for cat weighing. Here are few things that make it great: * It starts at zero . Quite a few scales have minimum weight standards that would be too high for a tiny kitten. * Super easy to set up and use. Large display that is easy to read. All the (4) control buttons are large , yellow and perfectly placed for easy use.. * Uses one 9 volt battery * There is a button that can be pressed to calculate correctly even if there is movement. This option is a must have feature for cats. * The cradle is perfect size for a cat. I left it out for a few days and my cats started napping on it. I highly reccomend leaving it out and perhaps offering treats on it to get kitty used to it. We weigh weekly and offer treats and petting during the process, all comply. * There is a zero out button if you want to place a cloth on the scale for the cat. It will minus the weight of the cloth. * Very accurate . My two elderly ladies have been to vet several times since purchasing this scale and it had same measurement as vets scale. Overal , a great item and a must have for cat owners. Perfect for a cat that needs to lose weight or for a sick cat need to maintain. We have had great fun weighing our kitten as she grows right before our eyes.

Good product. It's a bit difficult to read the right weight if baby is moving (up to 100gr difference). I found the "hold" button not so useful.
