Excellent Value and Performance - Klein Tools ET600 Multimeter, Megohmmeter
I recently had the opportunity to use the Klein Tools ET600 Multimeter, Megohmmeter in my line of work, and I must say, it's a fantastic tool, especially when considering the cost compared to its competitors, like the Fluke models.Cost Efficiency: The ET600 is priced significantly lower than the Fluke versions of megohmmeters, which is one of the primary reasons I chose it. Despite the lower price point, this tool does not compromise on functionality or reliability. For professionals or hobbyists mindful of their budget, the Klein Tools ET600 provides substantial value.Performance and Features: The Klein Tools ET600 has proven to be exceptionally reliable for testing electric motors and electrical insulation. It has all the necessary features expected from a high-end multimeter and megohmmeter. The device is intuitive to use with clear readings and robust build quality, which is crucial for frequent, rugged use.Practical Application: I recently used the ET600 to diagnose a problematic 220v 3-phase motor that had a challenging short. The multimeter was instrumental in pinpointing the exact nature of the issue quickly, which saved a lot of time and potential cost in motor repairs or replacement. Its accuracy and reliability in such a critical task were truly impressive.Ease of Use: Klein Tools has done a great job in designing this multimeter to be user-friendly. It features a clear display and straightforward interface that make it accessible even for those who might not be experts in electrical engineering. The setup is simple, and measurements are easy to read and understand, which enhances efficiency in any task.Overall Experience: In conclusion, the Klein Tools ET600 Multimeter, Megohmmeter is an excellent choice for anyone in need of a reliable, cost-effective solution for motor testing and electrical troubleshooting. Its performance is on par with more expensive units but at a fraction of the cost. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting out, this tool will meet your needs and exceed expectations. For its price, performance, and reliability, I highly recommend the Klein Tools ET600. It's a worthwhile investment that offers both savings and professional-level functionality.

Love this meter
I work in HVACR and needed a megometer quick. Recommended this one from a training class and decided to try it out. For the price this meter is perfect in my opinion. It has an amazing, big, bright screen with good size numbers. It feels sturdy and is a good size. Comes with good accessories as well. Will definitely recommend this in the future to other techs as a good mid to top tier megometer.

Great meter so far
Great, reasonably priced meter. 1kv megger, true RMS, resistivity, continuity, 1kv tester all in one package. A bit on the heavy side, but has a nice rear angled support.

Works great
Great meter, has helped me track down shorts that don't show on a regular multimeter a few times now, and also just to give some peice of mind if you really want to make sure you don't have any.

Pro‑grade meter that adds on‑board megohm testing
The Klein ET600 feels rugged right out of the box—rubberized housing, drop‑safe, and a clear backlit display. As a everyday TRMS multimeter it covers the basics (voltage, continuity, capacitance) with quick, auto‑ranging response, but the real win is the built‑in insulation tester: selectable 125 V, 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V outputs let you verify motor windings or cable runs without hauling a separate megger. Test‑lead shields and an audible alarm add safety, and the hold/max features simplify logging. Only downside is the 4000‑count resolution, which is fine for field work but less granular than lab‑grade meters. For electricians who need a single, tough tool that handles both standard measurements and insulation resistance, it’s excellent value.I use this unit to mainly test SR trace heat cables, and I have taught many others how to perform these tests with this unit. It's ease of use has been very helpful for this mission. Thanks Klein!

Great for the price
Big Fluke guy but didn’t want to spend money on a Fluke Megger as I usually just ohm motors so I got the Klein to use the Megger when needed. I’ve used it a few times and it works as it should.
