So tiny and awesome!
This little guy is sooo cute! It’s so tiny and detailed. I have no complaints. It’s truly only 1.1 inches tall, but holds all the detail of an accurate Baby Yoda or “The Child” -whatever you would like to call him. His head, feet, arms, and hands are moveable via ball joints. So they all turn in many different directions. But due to the small size of this little guy, movement is definitely limited. The arms can pop out if you aren’t careful, but they easily pop back in. The design of this is great though because it actually looks like the feet, hands, and head all disappear inside his coat. It adds a great layer of detail. There is even bumps on his head and little hairs drawn on. His ears have a little bit of punk in them too. Love the detail! The little one-eyed frog is so tiny and cute! I love the bowl and ball as well. Sadly, though, he can’t actually hold any of the items. The ball is literally less than 3 millimeters in diameter and can be EASILY lost. This is definitely a collectors item and NOT a toy for kids. The parts are so tiny and easy to loose, but the three accessories come in a handy box to hold them all in. Overall, if you are in love with The Child, collect Black Series figures, and/or just love teeny tiny things, this is the thing for you! I love it and am so impressed with it. They did such a great job designing it.

Super cute mini figure! Great for Black Series collectors, but beware tiny parts.
This Child figure is pure adorableness in a tiny package! Perfect for collectors with limited space, it might seem more like an accessory than a typical action figure due to its size. However, the sculpting and details are impressive for such a small scale. The included mini packaging is a delightful touch and looks fantastic displayed next to the 6-inch Mandalorian Black Series figure. Just a heads up, this is definitely a collector's item and not recommended for children. The tiny accessories like the shift knob are easily misplaced, and be extra careful – the arms can pop off rather easily and might be lost in a blink. Overall, this is a great collectible for dedicated Star Wars fans who appreciate the Black Series line, but for casual fans or those looking for a toy for little hands, there are better options available.

THE BABY CHILD YODA
This is a really nifty release! The figure is absolutely adorable and absolutely essential to any Black Series display. The head sculpt is very accurate and expressive. The articulation is as follows: ball joints at the neck, shoulders, wrists, and feet. The amount of poses I was able to get this tiny figure in were impressive. Keep in mind that this figure is VERY tiny. It’s in scale with 6-inch figures, meaning this figure is an accurate-to-scale ONE INCH TALL. Be weary of this before you buy if you’re expecting something bigger. Photo with a porg included for scale. I see other customers complaining that the figure is not detailed enough in sculpt/paint. The early promotional render does show the figure with additional paint/sculpt details that are missing from the final release. This is not a major problem in my opinion, and not at all something that hinders my enjoyment of this little guy. The figure is so small that it doesn’t matter, unless you are extremely nitpicky. The accessories are really cool, and compatible with other characters from the line. The soup cup can be used with Cara Dune and the child’s favorite toy can be held by The Mandalorian. I do think $9.99 is a tad bit too much, specially considering a full sized 6 inch figure is $20. I think $7 or $8 would have been more fair, but overall I have next to no complaints about this aside from the price. Buy it, you’ll enjoy it!!

Baby Yoda (The Child) Official Action Figure
Full disclosure - I do not plan to take Baby Yoda out of its (tiny) box. This is a small action figure, but it is the first official Hasbro/Disney Black Series scale figure, so there is a chance that it could go up in value. I'm 49 years old and don't plan on playing with it, so I'll be keeping it in it's somewhat plain but well-made box. I grew up playing with the original Star Wars action figures including Yoda and his snake. From that perspective, I would say "Baby Yoda" is to scale. 'The Child' is a petite articulated figure, just over an inch in height. It is nicely detailed and comes with additional pieces. Everything here is much too small for a very young child, but those 4+ should be able to handle and keeping track of (and not swallowing) the "frog" and other pieces. Use your judgement, but I recommend this for collectors rather than younglings that want to actually play with their Star Wars figures. In those cases, get two -- one to play with and one to save in the packaging. This is a fun addition to the Star Wars collectable figure universe. I eagerly await the 2nd season of The Mandalorian to see how this particular character evolves. ~ Kort

The Child at 1:12 scale is just right for The Black Series
The Child is a 1:12 scale Black Series entry, the line is 6-inch-scale so this figure is a mere inch tall, in scale with other action figures in the line such as The Mandalorian Black Series, or a Black Series figure you can actually find on pegs instead. The figure could be seen as a glorified accessory, not really worth the MSRP on his own, but it's packaged in a cute unique box that fits in The Black Series and it has an actual 2-piece storage box for its teeny tiny accessories - the shift knob, the soup cup, and one-eyed froggie, all of which cast in accurate colors which adds to the manufacturing cost, and the frog has 2 paint apps to boot. The Child himself looks pretty good for the series, nice sculpt, decent paint if not astounding but some detailing added around the eyes and ears to flesh him out. The articulation is simple ball joints for the ankles, wrists, shoulders, and head, none of which enjoy a ton of range, but there's enough to get the type of simple-yet-expressive movement seen on the series. His left arm can do "the hand thing" pose pretty well, his right arm sculpting can't quite get as close to the body. The shoulders do pop out a little too easily while posing, but they pop right back in and it's better than breaking. His little articulated feet let him look up or down at the very slightest angle, but it adds enough to help with those little pose expressions he uses. He's not good at holding anything because his hands are tiny and flat, but he's a baby, of course he wouldn't be good at holding things. I do have to knock it down for the price being a little high, and the arms being a bit easy to unsocket, but otherwise it's a good entry in The Black Series, it does what it's supposed to.

Tiny Cuteness
Ok, it is tiny, there is no doubt about that, but it's incredibly adorable. It's not one of those ugly versions that just don't look right. This one, once you squint, is a near-perfect replica of the baby yoda we all know and love. Plus, if you like tiny things, it adds to it... Everything is tiny! The quality of the plastic that holds the ball/frog/cup feels like good quality plastic, the same kind 90s kids used to get on a regular basis. It's not like any of the cheap stuff that is peddled around nowadays. It's super cute, and perfect, and it's the Thumbelina of Baby Yoda's. The price is a little much for the size, but honestly, the baby yoda wrinkles are perfection. I'm happy with my purchase...bought one to keep in the box, and another to hold in the palm of my hand when I need an extra dose of happiness.

Cute. Buy one.
He's sitting on my computer - don't judge me. Comes way over packaged. The frog-thing, cup, and 'ball' are in a separate plastic container. Like a teeny clear footlocker. The frog-thing is cute, too. The ball thing is too teensy. Just begging to be lost. The child is very nicely done and is just taller than an inch. They still have articulated tiny hands, arms, head and even the itty-bitty feet (yep, they're under the robe). Positioning is limited due to the size and restrictions of the robe. There is no 'body'. Unfortunately, there is no way for him to hold the cup (maybe stick-tack to the rescue). Perfect for adding to your collection of Mandelorian paraphenalia or as a car-buddy (you know - some stick-tack on the dash and voila...) Add the frog-thing, too. A bit pricey at US $9.99, but that is the going price. You probably can tell that I haven't watched the program yet, but it's on the list.

Perfect size for the Black Series scale
Cute little companion for The Mandalorian. Nicely detailed with plenty of accessories, but still probably not substantial enough as a stand alone figure to display by itself, especially where he doesn't really hold items easily. But paired with his pal, it's a great combination. Really tiny, but to scale with 6" figures. Plenty of other The Child (Baby Yoda) figures being released that are bigger if you need a bigger size. Bigger just won't fit in if your looking for it to match proportionately with the other Black Series figures. Some articulation on the head, arms, hands, and feet, but the arms do come off easily and only fit on the socket they belong to. For a licensed Star Wars item the price is fair if you get the $10 regular price. Plenty of these available so look around or wait for a good price to avoid scalpers.
