We had our honeymoon in New Orleans in 2002 and saw an absinthe fountain on display in one of the shops: glasses, spoons and little sugar cubes. We have been obsessed since. We have bought just about all the books on Amazon with this as the subject and have seen a few documentaries. When we saw this fountain about a year ago it seemed like an extravagant expense. Well, you only go around once, we are assuming so we took the plunge. It is loverly! Delicate, for sure so keep it away from the grand kids! We will try it out this weekend and report back if anything is amiss. Until then, know that it was very well-packed, the 2 glasses were much sturdier and both the glasses and spoons are fairly standard so finding matches for a set was easy. Good quality and knowing it is handmade is a bonus. Happy dancing with the Fae

Excellent gift! Beautifully made for an excellent price

This is clearly hand blown glass so don't expect symmetrical perfection. The fountain itself is quite delicate. Mine came with sturdy metal spigots, not the plastic ones mentioned in other reviews. That was nice. The parts that go into the glass spouts are clear silicone and they leaked a bit at first, but once they settled in and conformed to the inner shape of the spouts, the leaks stopped. The glasses are nice sturdy Ponsardin style and the spoons have an intricate a jour design. All in all, a great gift and a stunning addition to any bar top.

We received the set today and it seems to be decent value for the money. The glasses are thick enough glass to be durable and do well with moderate use. I really like the fact that they have a reservoir for easy measuring. The glass fountain is made from glass that is a bit too thin in my opinion, but as long as you are careful with it that shouldn't be a problem. The spigots are plastic, which honestly I prefer since some of the metal ones can rust over time. The only problem with the set is that one of the spigots will not turn off completely. I'm sure that it's a manufacturing defect and I have contacted the seller to try to resolve this single issue. I will update my review once the spigot issue is resolved. UPDATE: I have heard back from the seller and they have offered to send me a replacement spigot. Once it arrives I will post a second update. SECOND UPDATE: New spigot arrived from seller, works great. Seller was responsive and resolved the spigot issue quickly!

The set looks nice and the price is nice. The glasses and spoons are well made. The absinthe tower is VERY delicate and could break easily but the bigger problem is that its design is faulty and it leaks terribly. Both faucets left a huge puddle of water around the fountain about 10 minutes after I used and and returned to make another drink.

The most impressive feature was the box and the foam packing. Very secure. The glasses are of standard quality. The spoons are thin aluminum, not steel. The bubbler/fountain, however, is the cheapest, thinnest carnival glass. The spigots are metal and would probably work fine if they had something to fasten to. They just push-in to these silicone washer/stoppers. They fit loose and wiggle around. Not secure. Very disappointed- sending item back. I suggest getting one of the fountains where the spigots fasten right to the bowl with nuts.

I got this for my roommate as a birthday gift because she is an expert mixologist, and had never tried absinthe. We had so much fun partaking in an absinthe ritual, and it turned what could’ve just been a night of doing shots for her 21st, into an experience. I am really pleased by the craftsmanship on the globe. It is delicate as other reviewers stated, but it’s gorgeous. I have dropped ice cubes into it and had no issues with cracking. My only feedback is that the droppers could fit more snug, as they slip out often. Further, and this is just me I’m sure, but for any reviewers thinking the cups are green: they are not. If you want the green cup, you gotta buy the absinthe that is green in color. Sadly, that is usually accompanied by a whole lot of dye, and I don’t find myself drinking green absinthe. TSU: I’m really happy with this fountain and it’s on display in our dining room.

Very awesome absinthe fountain. Good price for quality. Elegant fountain, sturdy glasses. Spout is plastic and bit tricky to install but works good. No complaints from the Green Fairy.

Glass is super thin....broke during first use. The water globe is suppose to be able to hold cold water to use when making drinks, however glass cannot withstand any water as it is way too fragile. Do not waste your money!

The Reservoir is completely different. The Spouts are much higher (not hanging down), the top is completely different shape and the stand leg is of the centre of the reservoir ! The whole set have many defects and scares ! Looks very cheap ! Not worth even a £10
