Best popper ever!
This popper is fantastic. I eat popcorn several times a week, and have worn out multiple Stir Crazy poppers over the years. The last one I bought only lasted for eight months, which is ridiculous. I bought this one because I figured with no motor, it would last longer, and it was worth a shot. I wish I’d done it years ago. It’s quick, it’s easy, clean up is almost nonexistent, and it makes the best popcorn I’ve ever eaten. Fluffy, never burns, every kernel popped in about 5 minutes.Don’t hesitate.

The Best Popcorn Popper I have Ever Used
I have been on a quest for the perfect popcorn popper for years.I’ve found a couple of electric poppers that have generally worked well. They feature a spinning mechanism that keeps the kernels and popped corn moving. Most of the popcorn pops, but they are often a hassle to clean. They claim to be designed to flip over and use the plastic cover as a bowl, but the plastic disk that goes over the top never stays on, causing any toppings to end up in your lap if you use the cover as a bowl. Nonetheless, they produce the best-tasting popcorn (and I know the ingredients). However, my latest electric popper randomly stopped working, which seems to be a trend. One day, it’s fine, and the next, you turn it on, and nothing happens.Due to the cleaning issue, I’ve been using microwave popcorn for the past year or so. There’s no mess to clean up other than the bowl I empty the bag into. However, it doesn't taste as good, and as we all know, microwave popcorn is linked to cancer due to its ingredients.I recently bought an air popper, thinking it would be less messy than my electric popper and wouldn’t require oil to pop. However, the air popper leaves about half the kernels unpopped and sends popcorn flying everywhere—across the counter and onto the floor, with some landing in the bowl. I crafted a tube out of aluminum foil to direct the popcorn closer to the bowl, reducing mess, and it does help more seeds to pop. But I still need two bowls: one to pop into and another to transfer the popped popcorn into so I can collect the unpopped kernels and return them to the popper for another attempt, which still yields many unpopped seeds and overheats the machine, causing it to shut off.But I finally found the perfect popcorn popper. It pops on the stove. You add oil and kernels, crank the handle, and within a few minutes, you have popcorn—AND EVERY KERNEL POPPED! It is also easy to clean. Thus, my seemingly lifelong quest for the perfect popcorn popper has ended. The Whirley Pop popcorn popper is the best popper I have ever used.

Top Notch
I bought this to replace another popcorn machine. This thing is top notch and it makes sense why so many people recommend it. My popcorn comes out delicious every time and turns out better than the movie theater’s. Kernels pop in no time and rarely have too many kernels left un-popped. Cleaning doesn’t take long either.

Essential Movie Night Tool
We got the Whirley Pop as a Christmas gift for my father-in-law, and it’s been a huge hit! It’s quickly become a family favorite for movie nights. The popcorn it makes is so good—fresh, crispy, and just the right amount of fluffy. You can really taste the difference compared to the usual microwave stuff. It’s super easy to use, too. Just toss in some kernels and oil, you’ve got a perfect movie snack. It’s fun to make, and honestly, it just adds to the whole experience of sitting down to watch a movie together. The only downside is that cleaning it can be a bit of a pain, especially if you use a lot of oil. But honestly, that’s a tiny inconvenience for how awesome the popcorn is. Totally worth it.If you’re into homemade popcorn, the Whirley Pop is a must-have. We love it!

Reliably good popcorn maker
I wasn't crazy about the idea of buying another gadget for our kitchen, but our microwave is terrible at making popcorn, and my mom loves her Whirley Pop, so we got one and also love it. It's very consistent, easy to use and easy to clean. The only thing I would point out is that it says in the instructions it only takes 3 minutes to make, but that really depends on the stovetop, temp, etc. You'll have to use it a few times to find the best balance of time and temp. This thing is amazing and I would highly recommend it if you don't have a reliable way of consistently getting good popped popcorn.

Very good, but less convenient than air poppers
I bought this after seeing it listed on several credible websites as the best popcorn maker. This device is a clever way to improve stovetop popcorn popping, making it foolproof. The lid keeps popcorn and oil from flying out, but vents prevent the popcorn from getting overly moist. The crank prevents the popcorn from getting burnt. For anyone who loves making popcorn on the stove, this is a great improvement. Assuming you're comfortable getting a $40 pot that only makes one thing - popcorn.But...It isn't as convenient as air poppers, like the Poplite. It's a little more effort to set up and use (although that's still fairly simple). Cleaning is annoying though. It is not dishwasher safe, so it must be thoroughly cleaned by hand every time you use it. And the lid, with its rods and wires, is annoying to clean in a sink. Compared to that, an air popper is convenience itself. The manual lists a lot of "don't"s: don't preheat the burner. Don't use butter in the pot. Don't put in the dishwasher. What about the actual popcorn? Compared to an air popper, I feel like this makes popcorn that is slightly crunchier. I like it a little better. But I made popcorn with this and an air popper and kept going between both kinds of popcorn side by side - in the end, the difference is minimal. So even if the popcorn made this way is SLIGHTLY better, I prefer convenience, so I returned this item.My recommendation to the manufacturer: figure out how to make this dishwasher safe.
