YoLink Products are easy to use and work great!
YoLink products are great and easy to use (I've been using them for at least 8 years). I have their HUB, audible alarm, many water sensors, smart plugs, water valve operator, and garage door controllers. They all work seamlessly with their mobile app and are easy to set-up. The water sensors have saved my home from water damage at least 4-times. If you don't have water sensors in your home, it's only a matter of time before you experience a water even that will cost you a lot of money. YoLink's products will pay for themselves many times over because it avoids costly water damage. Garage operators provide peace of mind that garage is not open (plus can operate remotely if needed).

Water Leak Detection
No regrets yet. Setup was a breeze. All the sensors connected on the first try, no problem. The app's super easy to use and has way more features than I'll probably ever use. Can't say for sure how accurate the sensors are, but they haven't gone offline since I put them in. After dealing with a huge water leak before, these sensors are totally worth it for the peace of mind.

This could be the start of a beautiful relationship...
Humphrey Bogart quote notwithstanding, this is the most impressive home automation startup I've ever dealt with. I decided to add water leak detection to my home automation setup and originally chose a DLink option, based on some positive previous experiences. But DLink's device is not ready for prime time- I never could get it to communicate properly and gave up. I then saw YoLink's leak detectors on Amazon with some very strong reviews, so I figured I'd give them a try. The system, which does require a hub, was simple to set up and worked perfectly. The LoRA technology they use has many benefits over WiFi or Bluetooth, allowing widely spaced sensors that last 2 years on 2 AA batteries, providing incredibly flexible placement options. The only thing I didn't realize is that it utilizes notifications to your cell phone or PC to alert you to a problem. I didn't want to miss a problem that happened at night when our phones are downstairs on chargers, so I looked for a siren option to add to the hub. That's when I found this product, the YoLink Speaker Hub, which apparently had just been introduced- there were only 12 reviews. But they were solid reviews and I was already impressed by the ease and performance of my YoLink detectors, so I ordered this to replace the silent hub I started with. Well, from the amazing capabilities and expansion options of the Speaker Hub, it is obvious that YoLink has big plans for a comprehensive home automation suite. This is both a good and a possibly less good thing. The flexibility to customize alarms, alerts, notifications, spoken alerts, etc is great. But the learning curve is much steeper. So to get the Speaker Hub to do what I wanted required 2 calls to customer service. And this is where YoLink blew my socks off. Both calls were answered by the second ring by a YoLink engineer! And these guys know their system software inside and out. The first call got me 90% of the way there, but one issue stumped me. The second call resolved that issue in a couple of minutes. The system now provides an audible alert that announces which detector sensed a leak, as well as sending text notifications and emails in case we weren't home. All of this happens within seconds of the sensor touching water- they even placed contacts on top of the sensor so it can detect a leak that is dripping from above before a pool of water forms. In the process of speaking to the engineers, it is clear that they are rightly proud of their product, and intend to continue improving and expanding its capabilities. The leak detectors using the Speaker Hub are a great solution on their own, but it is obvious that they've built in a ton of capabilities so that as they expand their offerings, they won't have to modify the software every time they add another device. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Your move, YoLink!

Small size, very sensitive to water and a snap to install.
This unit is very tiny and works great. It is pretty sensitive to water. It is easy to use, just pare it up with your YoLink hub and set it where you want water to be detected. It can be pared directly to a water shut-off device from YoLink if you are using it that way. We placed ours on our boat to alert us if the bilge pump fails for some reason. Our neighbor's boat sunk recently during a storm while docked because their pump failed. We don't want this to happen to us. It is a good security investment value for our piece of mind.

Great LoRa radio range
I have liked the Yolink line of sensors due to their long range and reliability attributed to their use of the LoRa (Long Range) radio protocol. Unfortunately, because they implement a proprietary version of the LoRa protocol, the DIYer cannot utilize any of their sensors without the Yolink Hub. Fortunately, the hub works very well and the Yolink application allows for many built-in features making their devices very easy to set up and use. From their inception, I have used their original water sensors without great success. The battery life has been excellent, with my original leak sensors utilizing 2x AAA alkaline batteries going on 4 years now (they are expected to last around 5 years + according to Yolink). I cannot speak yet to the battery life of this new leak sensor with the built-in alarm, but I suspect that the battery life will be similar, at least unless you have repeated and extended alarms which may end up draining the battery faster due to power consumption by the siren (which BTW is very loud!). Anyway, at just a couple of bucks more than the original without the integrated siren, this is a very good value as this will also alert you even if you are not next to your phone. Overall, 5 stars for ease of connectivity to the hub, reliability (works even when internet is down), battery life, fantastic range, small discreet size, and the addition of the integrated siren/alarm.

These work well. Great range. 4 stars because this one replaced one that stopped working
I've had Yolink devices for many years. I love that they are easy to add to my hub, fantastic range and do what they are supposed to do. The app is easy and intuitive. I knocked one star off because one of my leak detectors said it had a bad battery, so I went in to replace it. Followed instructions, and it simply wouldn't be recognized by the hub or come back online. I tried several batteries and tested the voltage, but nothing would bring it back. It was a few years old, so probably out of warranty. They are so inexpensive, though, I just ordered another one to replace it. I received the new one, and it paired up no problem. I'm back in business. I took one star off because this was a replacement for the one that just stopped working and wouldn't come back online, no matter what I tried. I have many YoLink devices, and this is the only one that has done this so far, so I'm not deterred from YoLink at all.

Whilst overall unit is good, adding additional sensors is expensive, it is cheaper to purchase another starter kit. Sensors come from USA and shipping costs are as much as the items themselves. Also still trying to connect speaker hub to Alexa, the two detectors recognised no problem.

Simple to setup. Bind the speaker first and everything integrates seemlessly. I really like the Yolink system. The documentation is great and the quality is great. I have a pile of Yolink sensors and all but one have been completely without issue. The waranty appears good although I have not had reason to use it as I was within return date on the problematic sensor.

This device, like the other ones in the YoLink family, is exceptionally easy to put into service and well-built which gives me confidence in its reliability. I've stationed these water sensors all over the house now, having bought a bunch more. I've rigged it so that sensing a water condition (drip, spill, flood, etc.) will sound an alarm in my home office, notify me and my wife on our cell phones (by way of the app), and send me an SMS text message. I plan to get YoLink's 110dB alarm unit too, but haven't yet. Every once in a while, I test the alarm system by putting a random sensor (say, the one under the kids' bathroom sink) in a small puddle on the countertop just to reassure me that all is still operational. I really like this system! Also, the door sensors are great because it helps me keep tabs on who's filching the junk food from the basement pantry! (I pretend the door sensor is there to ensure we close the insulated door...)
