Matcha Moments
My order only arrived yesterday but I have been drinking Matcha tea for quite a long time. I have researched its benefits and really enjoy the subtle flavour. Also the routine of making this ceremonial tea. This enables me to empty my mind and concentrate on the ritual...no rush...no hurry just make, drink and enjoy. Also there have been other products which are sold containing Matcha......M&S drinks from the chill products...but I digress. This oh so smooth drink is very refreshing. A shared bowl of Matcha a couple of times a day prepares my brain and body for life!!

Actually enjoyed it and doesn't taste anything like the green tea teabags!
I've wanted to try matcha for a while so when it came up was keen to try it. First thing to note is that it comes in a tiny pot and I mean tiny, so it's very expensive for what it is. Apparently this is because of the harvesting and processing of it and limits to how much ceremonial grade can be exported.Anyway there are no instructions on what to do with it and I won't tell you how to make matcha tea with it as it's easy enough to google it. Unfortunately I didn't have a small whisk to be able to whisk it properly so I used a fork so I didn't get all the froth but I don't suppose that greatly effects the taste.I have to say i really enjoyed it and this one really does have a beautiful smooth taste to it and thankfully had none of the bitterness you get from a teabag. This was enjoyable (although I admit I did have a biscuit with it!) and I'd definitely like to have a cup of it a day however I've found out that matcha tea has about 6 times more caffeine than regular tea and I've been advised by my doctor to cut out caffeine .... 😪, so I will have to limit it to a weekend treat. it's also a mad colour though! So to sum up, if you can afford it then this one is really lovely and very VERY smooth so I would recommend.

Very tasty, a different kind of tea
This was my first experience of Matcha and I am impressed. I have had green tea before but never like this.Just in case you are as ignorant as me, Matcha tea is finely ground, usually using stone grinders, and you do not strain out the leaves as you would with most tea, or when using tea bags (perish the thought!). This is important if you are drinking it for health benefits as opposed to refreshment. The health benefits seem to be real but I was more interested in the taste - and I like it, it is a stronger more earthy flavour than most tea but not too bitter. There are very brief instructions on the tin but as a novice I sought out further guidance and found some nice articles on how to brew it. Ideally you need a bamboo whisk called a chasen but I don't have one so made do with a metal one. I'll be looking out for a proper one! There is a little 1g spoon in the tin and this makes 80ml of tea; you whisk it so it is frothy. The tea comes in a sealed bag within a small tin and is bright green in colour. Only 30g in the tin so it won't last long. If I get hooked I'll look for bigger tins!

Tasty, price seems reasonable and I am satisfied with the product and packaging
A little goes a long way and I started to acquire a taste for matcha after having some when eating out, so I wanted to try this and was not disappointed.Very tasty and dissolves fast, doing some research the price seems reasonable and I am satisfied with the product and packaging

Smooth matcha with superb quality
I am a fan of matcha and green tea, and I enjoued this matcha very much.Packaging: the 30g ceremonial Grade matcha comes in a small tin and inside there is a little spoon and the matcha packed in a sealed foil bag. The 50g one seems to be different in packaging and doesn't have the tin.Use: I put 2 spoons of the matcha into a cup and pour hot water in it. I stirred the tea with a plastic spoon and there are lumpy bits left at the bottom. This is normal and if you want to reduce the amount of these lumpy bits you need to use the bamboo whisk designed especially for preparing matcha. I don't have that tool, however, so that's ok.Flavour: the flavour of this ceremonial Grade matcha is smooth, with a hint of sweetness in the flavour, very suitable if you are a beginner in drinking green tea and matcha tea. This one is easy to drink and you will love the taste. I personally prefer the Premium Grade matcha of the same brand a bit more because that one you can taste a bit of the bitterness of the tea, but that's just my.personal taste.Benefits: it is known for long that matcha is very good for the body and mind. It gives you the energy and calming effect. Japanese drink matcha during their mediation. It also serve as a natural antioxidant.Overall, it is a nice and good quality product, and I am happy to recommend it.

Soothing and pleasant
Matcha tea is unlike the usual green tea you find in supermarkets. This is not a leaf tea but ground down and far superior in both quality and taste.I have tried it made the ceremonial way but usually take it as a tea with hot water. It does contain quite a lot of caffeine. They say the same as an espresso. Coffee doesn't tend to affect me adversely and neither does this.I find it quite soothing and relaxing. Often, if I crave something sweet, I will have this instead and the craving goes.It is a very small tin for the price but you don't use a lot at a time and this is premium quality tea.The tin is a screw top to preserve the freshness and quite attractive.Japanese make the best green tea and this is the perfect example.Recommended

Great tasting matcha
I recently came back from Japan and I managed to try some matcha green tea over there, I’ve been hooked since. The matcha green tea is a bitter earthy taste that grows on you, well, at least with me.In Japan, they put matcha in everything, including biscuits, cakes and even ice cream. And this matcha tea from Matcha Moments certainly have not let the matcha tea down, from my untrained taste buds it tastes just like the ones I’ve tried in Japan. You simply put 1g of tea powder in a cup and add “just” off the boil freshwater and that’s it. Well, you do need to whisk the dry powder first with a wooden whisk which, thankfully I have. You either drink the tea directly or add it to cakes and such confectioneries as you wish.Great tea with many antioxidants, also, the 1g teaspoon is included.
