I bought these for my girls who are really into Star Wars. The smile it brought to their faces was priceless. They swing it around and it looks really cool in the dark; best when really dark. Honestly, the blue is much brighter than the green. The sound FXs are great, particularly the power up/down sound. There is a hum while on. It would be much better if that secondary button with the weird "clashing" sounds was not there. My girls found it annoying. It's not "heavy-duty", so if anyone is going hit something or each other, it will probably break quickly. Anyway, for the money, these light sabers were well worth the price. I wish they had one in red.

My 2.5yo daughter has recently become interested in Elena of Avalor, who wields a sword. Thus, we parents needed a set of swords to play along with her. These are a great value! They arrive well packaged in a tube. They have 3 modes of different light and sound patterns. They actually make the swishing sound on impact, so you don't have to make them yourself, although, that's a tough habit to quit haha. They come with batteries installed, and they can connect at the bases to make a double sword. We've had them for a couple months now, and hit them a moderate amount, and they seem to be holding up well. Pleasantly surprised with the quality and solidness of these swords and hope they will last.

Son absolutely loves these. They work well and easy to attach/detach. Colors are vibrant and sounds are perfect when using. The only thing is they are not rechargeable, but that is my fault for not noticing. Great for kids!

Hi, I bought a pair of blue and green laser swords/dual saber for our Star Wars Halloween theme this year (2019). As you can see, these little beauties give off plenty of light, much brighter than the Star Wars name brand red light saber my brother bought. Personally, we prefer the fact that the blade does not telescope; the telescoping blade is awkward, does not always retract or extend smoothly, and may suddenly collapse if kids are using it to play with. The sounds are not absolutely identical to the Star Wars film sound effects but not bad. When you turn it on, there are multiple LED lights in series the length of the "blade" and so it "extends" by activating each light in succession, accompanied by the buzz/"whoosh" sound. If your kids play with them and the blades collide with some force, they will flash and whine similar to the films. There is a separate second button on the handle to activate a mode with swooshing, crashing sound effects, but they are rather odd, like cartoon sound effects, and the blade will flash more dramatically. Not bad, but we didn't find it very appealing. Lastly, the blade seems pretty durable: the boys could actually clash with the blades without any sign of problems as long as they did not get carried away. In SUMMARY: PROS 1. Durable blade that will withstand mock battles (assuming you don't get carried away). 2. Very bright, brighter than equivalent toy light sabers. 3. Multiple LED lights in the blade allow it to "extend" by activating each light in succession. 4. Comes with sound effects. 5. Best price you will find - two for the price of one. CONS 1. The blade does not retract or separate, which is an advantage and disadvantage, depending on how you look at it. 2. They are relatively short: see the attached photos. Good for kids and costumes, maybe not if you want to go for the most authentic look. In that case, you will likely spend five to ten times as much money!

My son got to use these for a day before the lights went out in one blade, and a few months before the other went to half volume. The connector is neat, and the spare has already been called into play when the first broke. These are better than a $5 swap meet toy, maybe even worth $22 each, but not what I was hoping for. I can't see buying a 10 year old a professional grade lightsaber, but there really isn't much in between. Good luck!
