No sugar, usable one-for-one in recipes
When I tried to find a sugar substitute to use in baking that could be used one for one in the same amount as the sugar in recipes, mostly what I found was either things that were billed as sugar substitutes but actually contained some portion of real sugar or else were liquid and wouldn't work in recipes where a dry ingredient was called for and adding moisture would throw off the balance so the consistency would be wrong for baking. This product is the only one I've found that uses the same amount in recipes as normal sugar but is made from "the sap of the flower bud stem of the coconut palm" (quoted from their website). It contains no actual cane sugar, so is suitable for diabetics. It has a slightly toasted flavor if you eat it straight, not unpleasant but I wondered if it was strong enough to be detectable in baked goods. I make a LOT of banana bread—and I have to say that using this in place of the brown sugar I usually put in my banana bread makes absolutely no difference to the flavor. It may vaguely taste a little less sweet, but it's every bit as satisfying as if I'd used sugar. Glad to have found this!

Awesome low-glycemic sugar
I've been using this for many years to get my husband (who has Type II diabetes) off artificial sweetners, which are so bad for health. It worked. No more pink, yellow or blue packets of chemicals in our house. Cane sugar reserved for rare occasions. It's tasty, sort of if like a caramelized brown sugar with a bit of nutty flavor. We get the 3lb bag whenever we can. Excellent value.Big plus: Its organic!Great in coffee, on cereal, whatever you like.Btw, hubby's blood sugar level is great, and he's down to a mere quarter of his daily med. Coconut sugar is part of the food plan along with veggies, whole grains, some fruit, and small amounts of animal proteins.

Really tasty in coffee!!
Bought this to replace regular white and brown sugar, and agave for coffee and other things needing a bit of sweetening. Tried Sweet Leaf Stevia and oh man... can’t handle that lingering taste. Bought a couple different brands of that, too, but I think this coconut sugar might be the ONE! I looove it in my coffee, not too sweet and has that molasses type flavoring, like brown sugar, underneath that brings out the coffee flavor. Mmm mmm. It’s midnight so I can’t have any right now, but SOON! Soon you will be mine. Ok need to go to bed. This is super tasty stuff!!!

Great Value- Strong flavor
I like this brand a lot more than I thought. I normally go for a Wholesome brand but due to COVID I've had to make some adjustments with my budget. This coconut sugar is very good and doesn't break the bank. In fact, this was a 3 pack so there was huge money savings. There is a very strong coconut flavor and the grains itself are very dark but I quite like the flavor. I made chocolate chip cookies using coconut sugar and the sugar was a little strong for that, on the other hand I've used it in everything else from salad dressings, to marinades to snickerdoodle and they have come out amazing. I will buy this coconut sugar again!

Good stuff!
These little packets are so handy to tuck insie the purse and take with me to add to my coffee when at a friends or out to eat. I love using coconut sugar. There are 4 grams of sugar in each one of these making it very easy to keep track of how many carbs are in my coffee.

Best for anything with milk in it.
I'm sorry I have to be honest. This Coconut Sugar does not go with everything. It doesn't go with teas or anything hot in water. It's best for oatmeal and/or anything with milk. I just dumped like 3 in iced coffee, and after stirring it for 5 minutes, i finally tasted it. I like sugar substitutes that at least provide be with SOME sweetness and is versatile. This isn't. It's best for baking and coffees with milk. Wont' be purchasing more.

Tastes great!
I use this coconut sugar in place of brown sugar in all my recipes. It tastes great and has a lot less carbs than brown sugar which is great for me being a diabetic.

The top sugar I use
I don't use cane sugar, only coconut sugar, maple syrup, and honey. Coconut sugar is my first choice by far, especially since you can use it 1:1 in recipes. I can count on this brand to be a consistently good product.
