Works great
I brought this is i could record and stream PS2 games and it work great....... but it has some interesting quirks.firstly image that its out puting is 720x480i and for a few games it's 720x576i for thos who are not tech savvy this is not HD and some Newer T.V's can't output an image that low and some can't out put interlace signals.secondly as it's an interlace pic and not progressive, there will be the some screen tearing on games with a lot of movement.thirdly and this is just for those who might want to record they games with a capture card for lets plays and what not but the picture quality will be good but will also be a bit pixelated, on the TV the picture is great, all smoothed out and looking really clear and shape.I don't know if its my capture card trying to upscale the image to 720p or if thats just how the ps2 outputs "HD" pictures, it didn't change much and was 100% playable. My verdict is if you are looking for a way to play your old PS2 but don't have an old TV with scart or component, this is the pefect way to play your old games and for the price, even if you unsure it wont break the bank.

Works but the latency is so incredibly high
This product works, if your definition of works is displaying an image. I purchased this for my brother as his TV only has HDMI ports, and I knew latency might be an issue giving it is converting a signal, but boy itās borderline unplayable. Sonic Heroes is already pretty janky control wise, but it was basically unplayable with this. San Andreas was more bearable but still very noticeable that the lag was there, I honestly donāt think Iāve ever struggled as much to get a character out of a house than I did today. If youāre using this for DVDs then I could see this being a great solution, for gaming though, not so much. Not too pleased with the products performance but it does display an image, so thatās something. Overall, I wouldnāt recommend this. The picture might look better but Iād rather a slightly worse picture with minimal lag than something that makes a lot of games unplayable. Havenāt played any fighting games with this but I can imagine itās not a fun experience! Either find a cheap CRT TV or at the very least find a flatscreen with composite or component ports! Thankfully my TV is one of the few modern flatscreens nowadays that has composite so Iāll stick with the default cables, but I can imagine my brother wonāt have fun with this on games like WWE!

It worked for me! š
Was a little concerned when nothing happened at first and after reading reviews where it didnt work for some.I plugged the old lead back in that only gave me black & white fuzzy picture, found the PlayStation was set to RGM so switched it and crossed my fingers.Plugged the adapter back in and nothing but then realised tv was still on YPbPr, so switched to HDMI 1 and there it was š

The USB power cable has to be used for this to work but it's a little difficult to connect
It works well in converting the PS2 to HDMI capabilities. I have this connected to my 4K TV. Two things of note:1) If you don't get a picture after connecting the box to the PS2 and TV via HDMI, you need to unplug it all and get the PS2 running on a TV with the original component lead (red/white/yellow) first - when you have a picture there you need to change the PS2 video setting from RGB to Y/Cb/Pb/Cr/Pr. The adapter should now work on any TV via the HDMI port.2) You have to use the provided USB power cable - plug this into one of the USB ports on the PS2 to get juice to the adapter. However, one problem is that it's a tight squeeze because the PS2's main power input port/cable is very close to the adapter power input port, making it a little difficult to fit.Other than these two points the adapter works perfectly for me, very good widescreen picture, looks the same as it does when using the component cable and I haven't noticed any discernible latency/lag. This product has brought my PS2 back to life (have just finished playing one game that I hadn't played in +10 years, haha).

Works great
Works as it should, but if your PS2 was previously set to the RGB setting and your tv only had HDMI input you'll struggle to change the settings.

It's ok
This device will allow you to connect a PlayStation 2 to a modern HD TV, it will not improve the picture quality much. I would recommend if all you want is a converter.

It works nicely
Was running ps2 on component cables on a previous tv which looked decent but my replacement newer tv didnāt have component inputs so got this after seeing a YouTube video recommending it. I also have a scart to hdmi converter and the difference between the scart adapter and this is epic. Timesplitters 2 looks great through this. Timesplitters 3 not so much, donāt quite know why.. but imo this really does the job and I am seeing my ps2 games as I have never before, crisp image and good sound. Not experienced any drop outs after a good few hours use like many others have described. Reconmend and very cheap.
