Pioneer A-Series TS-A2500LS4 10” Subwoofer – 1200W Max, Shallow-Mount Design, Deep Bass in Tight Spaces

These subs rock. Super goodbye and well worth double the amount for a small enclosure does not have that deep deafening base of a deeper sub, but definitely grabs a hold of all the notes that I have the amp tune to. I’m only pushing them at about half amp the subs do not have that distorted Dead sound like some Cell amount subs have.

At first, I thought I was about to regret these. They sounded very flat and low but after breaking them in for a week and tuning the amp (Rockford Fosgate R1200-1D), they now sound amazing. They hit highs and lows better and have a bit more punch than my previous non-shallow Kickers. They are a perfect fit in my 2023 double cab Tacoma. Best bang for your buck. Will update if they fail early or anything changes.

Bought a pair of these 12" shallow-mount Pioneers and they dropped into my low-profile enclosure just fine (didn't need to enlarge cutout if sub was too big or mount screws at odd angle if sub too small..), they thump HARD af, i was tired of my old dual 12 sealed box taking up so much space and got low-profile box which wouldn't contain my 2 Kicker 12s (exceeds mounting depth of box) so these shallow-mount Pioneer work well. Audio Quality is not quite as deep of bass as bigger box obviously (speakers aside) but for me, it's worth the "space vs bass" trade-off. Twas hard to find dual 12 shallow sealed box (most are for pickup trucks and too wide for me) but i scored a PAIR of single 12" low-profile sealed boxes on sale for 52 USD then bolted them together thru the middle. Also stuffed abt 8 oz of polyfill in each box (filled box nicely, could put more but didn't want it too packed/dense and start resisting the cone); never sound-tested w/o polyfill but maybe one day.. wise man buys 200-300 watt RMS subs like these Pioneer because they last forever, i started w/ cheaper 100-150 watt RMS subs for under 100 USD but ALWAYS one will fail after 2-3 yrs.. then it is hard to find new sub that matches working one because spkr manufacturers update the models every 2 yrs.. shame on me for swapping-out subs every 2-3 yrs over 15 yrs before thinking of getting higher-wattage subs. Excellent speaker was used as a replacement for another brand

Does ok for a shallow mounted sub but the 4 ohm svc is meh for me. Its does thump inside the car but there is nothing really outside. If you want a little umph to your music this will be that sub but if youre wanting to rattle walls then this isnt your sub. I was limited for space in my truck while still keeping all the seating so went with this. Power is decent. Build pretty well but we will see.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered two of these to install in my 2017 Ram 1500. Shipping was relatively quick. Once I installed both speakers and turned them on, I noticed one speaker worked perfectly and the other sounds like the cone is separated. It plays but makes an awful rattling sound. I noticed that there is no returns on the speakers. The one working speaker sounds great! I wish they both worked and I wouldn’t have had to remove them and purchase additional speakers. I would recommend ordering from a different vendor or spending the extra money and getting better quality speakers.Video is of the speaker installed into another box after removing from the Ram.

Item did not last 20 minutes. It gave out pretty quick. Sounds amazing while it’s working though.
