No. You can wash if you prefer.

Is water absorption good?

It absorbs well however, due to the thinness of the cloth, it doesn't absorb much. As a result, you may have to use several cloths. In my opinion, your money would be better spent on a thicker microfiber cloth. Unfortunately, there is no way to assess how thick a cloth is on Amazon. The microfiber cloths from Bed Bath & Beyond performed better since they are thicker.

Can I purchase just a pack of grey cloths?
