It's ribbon and it's fine
Good quality ribbon, hasn't frayed excessively and is a true satin black. I used it to tie back a set of velvet curtains and it's held up well and still looks nice. I usually use a more festive color for gift wrapping, but I would re-order this in other colors for different uses.
