Calm down, you can always get a refund.
I recently bought a 20 year old Graphtec vinyl plotter and was losing hope when my Windows 10 laptop kept giving me the "Power surge on USB" error. I read that this was a problem specific to Windows 10 and remembered I had an old dead Windows 7 laptop that was stuck in a boot cycle. I had this laptop in a drawer for more than 5 years and tried everything outside of taking it to one of those Geek companies. It was up and running after 30 minutes with this disk! Keep in mind that in order to boot from this disk you need to WAIT and be patient. In my first attempt, I gave up and restarted, but not before reading a review that said booting could take a while. Once Windows finally boots up, it'll look very basic with no icons or any of your personalized stuff, then there will either be a icon on a desktop to run, or on the c drive (honestly I forgot what I actually did). Anyway, good job y'all, plotter's up and making me money! 👍🏼

Does No Good if you have a missing operating system or Windows files.
It didn't help me with fixing a computer, that's why I bought it. It gets you to the point of being able to get to a screen to restore to a previous version of windows if you still have the windows files. You can restore the version of windows you have now if you still have the files. You can also start from command prompt. I had missing Windows files so the CD was a waste of time & my $$$.

Worked as Advertised - Flawlessly - I was Shocked!!! It Worked like a Charm
Running XP on a 20 year old DELL Desktop. Power outages knocked out the computer and it would not boot. I love this PC and wanted it fixed. After reading all the negativity on this thread I was VERY skeptical. After using this product it was worth the gamble buying it. Local guys said the boot files were corrupted so I needed a new hard drive and reinstall XP: lots of travel and $$$ and time required. No way!!! using my Newer Win 10 DELL desktop I searched out this disk, ordered and followed the instructions. Most computers are setup to boot a bootable disc from the CD drive before loading XP. So after placing the disk in the CD drive, switching it on and waiting just a few minutes my computer was completely fixed without having to wade through any menus... the disc fixed the computer requiring no user interface. What a pleasant experience!!! A product that worked as advertised, seamlessly. For my type of computer and electrical disaster problem I can highly recommend this product.

Hasn't booted anything yet.
But I'm an optimist and will keep on hoping that this will, at some time work for me. Maybe this is because it will only self-boot when pretty much anything would. Or maybe not. And , actually, I haven't seen any activity . I have nothing to tell me if this thing actually has something on it. Maybe it will someday come to life and I can stop using an old fixit cd.

Did not work for intended purpose
Bought this to reset/reboot a computer pass the passwords that were forgotten and it did absolutely nothing. Tried to find/follow instructions - it did nothing. Rebooted/Restarted my computer the long way in the end. Do NOT recommend to buy!!!

Did not work
I don't know if it was me or the disk, but it did not fix my problem.

Boot disk works well -- Recommended
Hi, Had Windows 8.1 crash and would not boot. Ordered the Boot Disk and it arrived very promptly. Inserted the boot disk, and after several tries, it engaged, but quit after a few minutes with an "file not found" message, or some such. I emailed their support site, but received no answer to date. Went ahead and tried again, this time it compiled and I was able to "get back in" to my applications and files. Would like to know what's up with their support? They claim it's 24/7, but it definitely isn't.
