A wonderful re-visit to Falcon Crest
This book, published circa 1984, focuses on the arrival of Richard Channing in the Tuscany Valley, including his taking control of the New Globe; escape from The Cartel and attempts to drive a wedge between Falcon Crest's owners (Chase and Angela) so that he can gain a foothold in the wine industry. Basically, this novel is a condensed version of the show's second TV series. However, its wonderful to re-visit Falcon Crest in a book format as well as experience the characters in a different light (ie. Angela is written as a sexy woman in her 50's, still using her feminity on men and Lance as a pawn trying desperately to escape Angela without losing his right to Falcon Crest). These new ploys help the story along without jarring against the original TV series.I wouldn't expect that this book would be of any interest to anyone who didn't enjoy or follow the 80's Soap but for those who did, this novel is definately worth the buy, especially considering the cheap prices being asked by Marketplace Sellers for this piece of original TV history! Hope you enjoy!!
