The media could not be loaded.  For the price, you get a reasonable amount of paint and a nice assortment of colors in a 2x5in hard plastic case. It has a plastic sleeves that let you know what paints come in the container.This brand is considered a student grade however the quality is still really good and the paints rewet easily. This is a nice intro set for anyone that might be interested in trying Royal Talens, Van Gogh watercolors. Even if you don't buy the book ( which I didn't) this is still a nice set that includes all the primary colors with a few neutrals.

I took my paints out of the container they came in and melted them into half pans with water so i could travel with them but they give you such a generous amount of each color and its more than enough to finish the watercolor trip to Italy book. I bought 2 of these extra sets and added them with the one that came with the book and they ended up almost filling the half pan. So each dot is about a third of a half pan if you were wondering. But the quality of these paints are amazing and I really love the color selection so it would be a nice tester kit for the brand if you don’t own the book and still want to try out these paints. It includes a split primary color palette so even without the book you can get lots of use out of the paints.

Don't let the plastic box fool you. The basic colors you get are more than enough for your practice doodles, beautiful enough for your first " masterpieces " with saturated hues, transparent watercolor values. The price quality is unbeatable for an import product paint. Try it.....

Van Gogh makes some of my favorite watercolor sketching paints. I own the entire line, but wanted a starter set for students. Sheer and highly pigmented, these paints are incredibly easy to use. This set is curated by an advanced artist for landscape work. If you want an inexpensive sampler palette of great sketching paint, look no further.

Colors are vibrant and opaque. I really enjoyed using them.
