I love this dinky rice cooker
I LOVE this little rice cooker, it does the job so well. I have not been making rice for long as I found most rice cookers it’s hard to make enough for one person but this one is ideal for that! I use bone broth to cook my rice instead of water for extra flavour and it did very well. The rice cooks well and thoroughly but it’s good to give it a little mix as the sides can brown a little. It will beep when the rice is done and you can choose to keep it on a warming setting for a bit. It also has a book which tells you how much fluid to put with the rice for perfect cooking and i just followed that. I also added in some peas and sweetcorn to the last batch for the last ten mins and that worked well too. Also very simple to clean and it’s so small it fits nicely in a cupboard out of the way when not in use!

Perfect for two!
We already own a rice cooker but it is too big for just the two of us. This one is perfect, one cup of rice (using the cup provided) and two cups of water, close the lid and press the button. Couldn’t be easier, perfect rice every time, no smell and easy to clean.

No fuss, no burning, no sticky deposit. This is a champion.
This is the best rice cooker I've used - and I've had quite a few. This is so easy to use and produces perfectly cooked rice with no sticking or crusting on the bottom of the cooking pot - even after being left on the automatic keep warm setting for an hour or more. Cleaning takes no effort at all and can be done in seconds. I've had more expensive rice cookers with whistles and bells I didn't use or need. If you want a no fuss model which will give you a great result in about 20 minutes, look no further.

Useful!
Seems great so far. At 30mins it’s longer than I expected it to take but at least I don’t have to keep an eye on it like you would with a saucepan. This is the main benefit of a rice cooker i guess! I have used 1:1 rice water ratio rather than 1:2, and find it cooked perfectly. This is with sushi rice though, maybe other rices need more water

Makes great rice.
So I used to own a steamer. The plug in sort. Mostly used it for rice with occasional forays into veg. But mostly rice. The best thing I ever cooked rice in was a microwave rice steamer. Our microwave went bang and the steamer didn't fit in the replacement. So the electric steamer was the way we did rice until it died of old age.Trying to find a good replacement for the steamer, found this. Decided to try it, on the basis that there's other solutions for the non-rice stuff that we already own.Does it work? Absolutely it works.Complicated? No. It took me a while to be convinced that it's really as easy as it looks, but it really is. Get the water level right, that's the only thing to worry about.Different rice types need cooking for different amounts of time, for sure. How does this handle that? Cleverness.Rice and water in a pot, put the pot inside, close the lid, switch it on.What doesn't happen is a timer, exactly. Get the rice going in plenty of time. You get a six minute warning, but it'll keep the contents in perfect conditions until you open it up (look, don't go mad here, I don't mean you can wait a fortnight) so a rough idea that brown rice takes longer than white might be helpful to keep in the back of your mind while you're prepping and cooking everything else, but as long as you aim for the rice being too soon instead of too late, you'll be fine.It cooks porridge too. No idea, haven't tried that yet. I expect it works just as well.Oh yes, and as I have limited worktop space and full cupboards, the fact that this has a much smaller footprint than the old steamer is also a bonus.A couple of things: the rice pot is non-stick so don't use metal tools, and none of it (sadly) will go in the dishwasher after use. However, cleaning is not difficult.

Extremely Good
I really cannot give this rice/pooridge cooker less than the five stars as in line with my other Lake Land products it represents excellent value for money and does what they claim. The rice (including Brown) is always cooked very well and avoids the wet and soggy feel for something closer to resturant rice. The pooridge is also very well cooked and can be left over night with delay and that is no problem. So here are a couple of things that I have come across that are not game changers but worth bearing in mind. Firstly, if you go full milk pooridge you can expect some leaks through the vent, water pooridge or half and half milk and water will avoid this. Secondly, the rubber bung in the lid pulls of and you can pull out the metal steam diffuser to clean both the back and the front and this is vital to do. I cannot give this less than the 5 stars because for the money the build quality and function are above excellent.

Perfect for meal prep and sushi
This little rice cooker is the perfect size for meal prep and sushi. Unlike all the other comparatively massive (and expensive) rice cookers on the market, this one is ideal for portions suited for a work week's meal prep (up to 175 grams of basmati rice) or up to a few rolls of sushi.I've been using it for a bit over a year now, and it's made making rice-based dishes a lot more hassle free with good, consistent results, and the small size means it barely takes up any storage space.

Best Bleedin’ rice cooker in the manor!
I tell ya what, this rice and porridge cooker’s the dog’s danglies, mate! Got it in me kitchen, and it cooks up rice so perfect it’d make a sushi chef blush. None o’ that mushy nonsense, nah—each grain’s a proper geezer, standin’ up on its own like it’s ready for the Queen’s parade. And the porridge? Cor blimey, it’s like a warm cuddle in a bowl. Stick yer oats in, give it a wink, and Bob’s yer uncle—you’ve got porridge so creamy it’d make a cow jealous.Easy to use too, innit? Buttons are all proper simple, none o’ that faff that makes you wanna chuck it out the window. Cleanin’ it’s a doddle an’ all—one quick wipe, and she’s ready for the next round. For the price, it’s an absolute steal. Don’t muck about, nab one o’ these cookers pronto. Your taste buds’ll thank ya, and so will your nan when you serve her the best porridge she’s ever had!
