THIS IS THE BEST HAIR LIGHTNING kit I have ever used, and I have gone through a million, after years of coloring my hair! I just colored my hair this morning, and the results are STUNNING!!!!! 1. This made my hair actually softer: how is that even possible? lol but IT IS with this product!!!!! 2. My natural hair is something like dirty brown, a little ash, a little red, and this kit lightened it about 5-7 shades within 20 minutes! I was so scared to not damage my hair, so I kept it on the minimum, but it gave me PERFECT color!!!! It also made me have sun-kissed highlights, which makes it look sooooo amazingly natural! I know that I can come back anytime later and use a new kit to lighten the hairline around my face or just take strands and lighten the ends. So, it is like paining on lightness, without the fear of frying anything. This is just for fun for me, so I can re-design what I want later! :D 3. What I LOVE about this product is that you can layer it on, meaning, you can overlap it with previous color, and it will not fry your hair. I was skeptical about it, but after using it one time, I KNOW that you can, just because I have had the experience with hundreds of products. 4. I cant believe what a great color this gave me and my hair is soooo soft ! will buy it again

I included a before so you could see my natural color on my roots. I had bleached once at a salon pre-Covid and home toned it- and box died roots in quarantine w/ a light ash blonde that didn’t lift my dark hair enough. I used color x change on hair prior to this kit in an attempt to lift off the light ash blonde box dye from my hair in prep for this. Any toner I had previously done was worn off and my hair was looking pretty brassy with a dark root prior to coloring but it was actually feeling very soft and healthy. I have very long thick hair. I used 2 boxes in one session and it pretty much only covered my Dark roots with barely any on mids and ends. I tried to gently comb and paint and smush some on the mids and ends from my saturated roots once those had sit, but it really wasn’t sufficient coverage because I had run out of product. I do know with bleach you really need to cover thickly- so in that sense there is not nearly enough in this kit. Multiple boxes are probably needed. I probably needed at least 3 for my hair but only had the 2. I painted the roots first because I had those DARK roots compared to my previously bleached mids and ends. If you haven’t bleached before you would want to do mids and ends and then do roots after b/c the roots process faster. I did get those “hot roots” that happen when the heat of your scalp heats the beach next to your scalp to process the lower root faster than the rest of the roots. I think once I’m to the final platinum shade I’m looking for I’m going to do a “shadow root” in a darker shade for sort of a modern look and to make my naturally dark w/ some gray hair look more normal as it grows out. I had a very yellow result as shown in my wet hair picture. It was so shockingly yellow that I felt the need to immediately tone it with a strong purple toning mask (despite instructions saying to wait between the bleaching and toning on the toning mask directions- but it was totally fine). My hair did feel much drier after doing this. My after dry hair picture is after using the toner mask (made a HUGE difference so you probably NEED one of those). Overall I’m loving it. I did order two more boxes to do in about 2 weeks to get to more of an ice shade like shown on the box- but Overall I’m a fan. It’s a cheap way to lighten your hair. Even if I do go to a salon for the “shadow root” I’ll pay significantly less if I’m already at ice blonde when I arrive and save some time and money over multiple trips.
