Updated: Onscreen menus are NOT in english! FOUND a menu option "ABC", that turned out to have an "English" option!
Update #1: (updated from 2 stars to 3)... I found a menu option "ABC" with a chinese description (not listed anywhere in the documentation that I can find), which allows you to select the language, and "English" is indeed there! I selected that, and it's MUCH easier to figure out! This option SHOULD come up FIRST, when you power it on the first time, but nope.Initial impression after unpackaging is the old saying "you get what you pay for". Since this is being sold in the USA, you would think that ONE option for languages would be "English", but nope. ALL the menus on the one I got are either in Chinese or something. I will need to translate the user's manual Chinese side to match the images on the screen in order to change settings. On the bright side, maybe I'll learn part of a new language.Once I figured out that the unit's camera will NOT work when it's plugged into the USB on my computer (unless there's a menu option I have not yet figured out), I charged it for a while, then unplugged it, and voila, it worked!! Took me over a half hour to figure that out... kept rebooting it, resetting defaults, and nothing, just a blue screen! Let it charge for an hour, then unplugged USB and BOOM, picture! Got a short recording and it was not bad. After I charge it fully, I'll set it up in my car, and report back after a few days, maybe I'll upgrade this from two stars... maybe not!

Took a chance, and was pleasantly surprised! Nice little unit!
I was very surprised at the unit's capabilities for the price. I wondered how much 1080p, Hi-Def Motion-Detecting Windshield mounted Camera I could get for 11 bucks. WAY MORE than I thought. The case appear a bit "cheap" at first glance, but it is built for functionality - not beauty. And it IS fully functional. I plug it into my extra cig-ltr socket, and away it goes. It has a menu system that is fairly intuitive (but a bit slow), and the motion detection works quite well. I mounted it up high in front of my rear view Mirror, and if I am moving, or had moved in the last minute or two, or anything moved in front of me (a car passes or a person walks by), it IS RECORDING in high def almost instantly, and you can see it on the little 2.7" monitor on the back of it. The only reason I gave it 4 vs. 5 stars is it does not do well in low light (night driving). the menu is a bit slow to react, but it DOES record when things are moving at night, and you can see anything your headlights or streetlights shine on, so that is not too bad. I have it set on 720p to save space on the SD card, and the daytime video is very clear. WELL WORTH the price!!

Cheap, basic camera.
Three stars only because it's so cheap and it does record what is happening in front of your car. But the quality of video is rather poor, even on a sunny day. The contrast is low and colors are dull. At night it records what's in your headlight beam, but the clarity is lacking. And I don't believe it's a full HD, it doesn't look so. Another issue: the dash cam keeps turning itself on and starts recording for no apparent reason, or at the slightest motion around it, even when all the settings that could trigger it are off (G-sensor, Parking mode and Motion detection - all are off). Buy it if money is really tight and all you need is a basic ability to record the view in front.

NOT BAD for the price
not BAD for the price . it is hard to program you have to change it to English which can be a tad hard to find. But once you do you can program everything fine. Be sure to format your card once you have it in the camera before using it. I like the bigger screen of 2.7. Once you start your car the camera will come on when its plugged in. This is my 2nd purchase of a model like this one. The other one lasted over 6 months and worked perfect. But I also left it in a hot car all the time. It has the screw in fitting which is much stronger then the slide in fitting that DVR are now coming out with. be sure to get the 2.7 screen you will regret the smaller 2.4. .

So far, so good. This dash camera has performed very well for the month that I have had it now. Have it set on 720P and have tested the qualityof video by watching it on my PC. Picture quality is fine for the purpose and audio picks up well.Plenty of cord so that I was able to run the cord around my headliner, down under the dash and connect to an outlet.I'm using a 16gb class 10 micro card and the camera loops, so it gives me all of the recording time I would need in the case ofan emergency. The suction cup has held to my windshield just fine as well as tighten once you have it in the position you want.Remember, this is a lightweight plastic case, so just don't get too rough with it and you should be as pleased as I am.

more than your moneys worth.
i read where people have said negative stuff about this product but people need to remember that ya get what ya pay for and in this case you get your moneys worth and more. it has a nice picture clear enough to more than adiquately serve its purpose. it has all the features of a expensive one with motion sensors and night vision. which also function more than adequate to serve its purpose.for a dash camera i truly see no need to spend more money.if you wish to video for personal reasons or other reasons than for accident help and proof then an expensive one is in order. I personally dont believe feel more is needed especially when it costs so much more for vary vary little improvement.

Decent for its Price!
I would recommend this dash cam if you want to be able to record people pulling out in front of you or doing stupid stuff. Its a good sturdy and decent product the suction cup is actually very good. It does not come with a SD Card but I got a 32GB SanDisk SD Card. and It works fine. Here is a video of me driving in a Sunny Day in Arizona : [...]
