Creative, Clear and Extremely Well Done
The Visual MBA is a unique and engaging approach to understanding the core concepts of business school, packed into a single, visually-driven book. Instead of traditional text-heavy content, this book uses illustrations, infographics, and diagrams to break down complex business concepts in a way that's both accessible and memorable. The Visual MBA covers key topics like marketing, finance, strategy, and leadership, distilling the essential takeaways from a two-year MBA program into digestible visuals. It's perfect for anyone who wants to grasp business fundamentals without the time or financial commitment of traditional schooling. While it can't replace the depth and networking of an actual MBA, it provides a fantastic overview for entrepreneurs, professionals, or anyone curious about business. If you want to quickly grasp the essentials of business school in an engaging, no-nonsense format, The Visual MBA is a priceless resource.

Well written/drawn summation of an MBA
Having completed my own MBA, in an in-person class setting (not online), I learned so many valuable topics and yet often find myself trying to recall a principle that has escaped me. This book provides a wonderful refresher and helps me recall things I had learned. In the past I would pull up my personal notes (typed up in Google Docs, or written directly on the cases), only to find that I didn't take that good of notes. Now, I'll have a much better and visual way of reviewing what I had learned/forgotten, and even learn new topics I hadn't covered. In addition, the breadth is enormous... I believe it covers almost all the courses I had in my own MBA, plus some that I didn't take. For example, while I did learn some about global business, this book has a full chapter assigned to it. One of the topics discussed in that chapter is the CAGE distance framework, which helps a manager think about global business outside simply a geographic distance, including cultural, administrative, geographic and economic distance differences between your potential customers. As I'm currently working on some cross the globe business projects I'll be turning to this section frequently to make sure I'm best aligning my targeting.Anyhow, all around great book, and I'm happy to have it in my business arsenal!

Great intro book
The GoodAs a visual thinker with ADHD, I absolutely loved this book. It’s a total win for anyone who thrives on visuals rather than slogging through walls of text. The sketchnotes and concise breakdowns of complex business concepts kept me hooked from start to finish—no small feat for my ADHD brain! It’s like Jason Barron took the overwhelming mountain of an MBA curriculum and turned it into a colorful, bite-sized roadmap that’s easy to digest. If you want the essence of business school without the two-year grind, this book delivers in spades. It’s engaging, approachable, and honestly feels like a breath of fresh air compared to traditional business books. The BadThat said, it’s not perfect. The book is a bit short, which left me wanting more depth on some topics. While it’s fantastic as a quick overview or a refresher, it doesn’t dive deep into the nitty-gritty details. For someone like me who enjoyed it but craves more substance, it feels a little like an appetizer rather than a full meal. My recommendation? Pair it with something like the Harvard Business Review series. Those books can fill in the gaps with richer, more detailed insights to round out what The Visual MBA starts.

Not as good as I thought
There are too many vague points that come from the courses. And it sounds like only those who attended those courses can understand the ideas mentioned. Overall it’s a good summary of things you already know but useless for those who want to learn.

Great fun overview of business topics
Overview of a ton of topics from general management, finance, marketing, strategy etc presented in a fun easy to read format without too much business jargon. Given it is just one book, great to find your blindspots and follow up with other book on specific topics that you'd want to dive in deeper on.If the author decides to publish a sequel on specific topics, I would totally buy it.
