Informative book on BLW
I bought this in preparation of starting solids with my baby. I haven’t thoroughly read it yet but from skimming it it’s great information before starting and goes over the background. It’s not a recipe book for people who keep reviewing that it didn’t include it

Straight to the point with easy takeaways to empower healthy meal building
Straight to the point and very easy to follow. Found myself immediately underlining key points for takeaways and jotting notes on one sheet so I could go back to it at any time. She gave me the tools I’d been looking for! An easy way to build healthy meals no matter what on my own anywhere anytime. Iron rich foods, plus vitamin c fruits/veggies, plus energy foods. And each breakdown of how to serve those foods depending on where your baby is in their grasping skills is perfect. This is going to stay in my kitchen for a long time! But I also feel empowered now with the knowledge of exactly what I need to feed my baby the way that feels healthy and right to me in my gut (pun intended).

Great introduction to Baby-Led Feeding
OVERALL: Really like and would recommend this as a good intro. This was a very easy introduction to Baby Led Feeding. Especially helpful was the breakdown of each type of food and how to prepare them for best success. There is a nice review and quick reference for emergency support if choking. There is a very nice diagram that should be laminated and put in your kitchen for serving size whether your baby is at the Plamar or Pincer grasp stage. It discusses preparing baby's plate, which is nice because there are suggestions out there to introduce just one food at a time.Drawbacks: It would have been nice to have just a couple recipes in each section to help really be able to get started, although there are options to serve foods singly. Organizationally, I would have liked to see the allergy section and the "foods to avoid in the first year" at the beginning of the book up perhaps with other emergency and health concerns like choking. In my mind some allergic reactions and choking are on similar playing field. Portion sizes and frequency would be helpful to know. For instance, as a working mom I am not comfortable letting daycare handle this when my little is just beginning...is it important to offer three meals, is one fine, two, since it is for practice and baby is still getting most calories from milk?

Good Read
Has helped me get over the fear of feeding solids to my baby. Great book to read through and very informational regarding what to give your baby. Worth it if you have any questions or doubt yourself to start. As a first time mom this has eased my mind tremendously

Poorly printed/bound - good information though…
First thing I noticed about this book is the poor quality of the book itself. A lot of the pages in our copy weren’t glued well and I’m sure they’ll fall out before we finish reading the book. And the pages are almost all printed crooked.Other than that, from what I’ve read of the book so far it seems informative. Easy to read and understand. I’m excited for our baby led weaning journey thanks to this book.

Well written and provides a lot of good information
The media could not be loaded. This book is very detailed with pictures and paragraphs on food types, cutting, etc. Made me feel confident and educated going into starting solids with my child. Would recommend to anyone looking to do more informative reading on the subject of starting solids with infants.
