Great price for a great classical nylon-stringed guitar!
I love this guitar. It came stringed and ready to play out of the box. It takes two AA batteries. The built-in tuner works fantastically. After regular string break-in, it holds the tuning well. When I first learned to play guitar as a child, I had a Yamaha classical guitar. I opted for the black finish and it came without a blemish. It did not require any adjustment to the tress, but an Allen wrench was included. This guitar, for a mid-range priced affordable replacement of that childhood guitar, is a huge upgrade. It has a very intuitive crossover that readily and easily changes the dynamic sound through and amplifier. And, at this price point, you will be hard-pressed to find a factory classical guitar that delivers like this one. 10/10

Having fun 👌
I'm trying to learn to play the guitar at 72 years old (I just retired and this was on my bucket list…lol). I also have a Taylor 600 that I bought in the late 80’s and hardly touched because I could not practice enough to make it past the finger pain (traveling all the time). This guitar so easy to pick up, do a quick tune-up with the onboard tuner and play with little finger pain, I spend 1-2 hours per day practicing with Cordify and Justin's Guitar lesson. I don't sound good but the guitar does. It is well-made and looks great. Everything I have ever purchased from Yamaha has been great and fairly priced. There is no shortage of guitars in this price range $400-500+- and I did a lot of reading on the options. I am confident that to get the same quality from another manufacturer, I would have had to pay $300+- more.

Yamaha rocks.
The Yamaha NTX1 Is a great guitar. The craftsmanship is the next level, same as the sound quality. The amplifier control is a tuner as well. I love that feature. Small enough to be very easy to handle, and big enough to give the feeling of a full size guitar. I have two acoustic guitars, a Taylor and my new Yamaha. This Yamaha NTX1 is as bit as good as my Taylor if not better in some ways, and that is a lot to say knowing the quality of the Taylor guitars. Don’t let don’t Let The Price fool you, the guitar is really worth it.

Great Looking Guitar, But a String Broke Immediately After Opening
After receiving the guitar, I carefully took it out of the box and placed it on a stand in our living room. Within about an hour, without anyone touching it, one of the strings suddenly snapped on its own. The guitar had not even been played yet. This was incredibly upsetting because it was supposed to be his birthday gift, and he had been planning to spend the week practicing and enjoying it. Instead, it became something that just sits there until I figure out how to fix it. For a guitar that costs around $600, I did not expect a string to break immediately after opening the box especially when the instrument had not been used at all. I still think the guitar itself looks great, but the fact that a brand new instrument failed this quickly was very disappointing. I hope the company can address this issue or provide a solution, because this really took away from what was supposed to be a special moment.

Very Good
This is not the cheapest playable guitar for beginners. Nor is it the only option in this price range. But it is a fun guitar to play. I have 15-16 guitars, but this is the one I'm currently playing around the house. I actually got it for a friend that is getting arthritis in his left hand and is finding it increasingly difficult to press the strings on a standard steel string. I think he is going to love this and maybe be able to continue playing for a few more years.
